I've always hated 'Space Oddity' and 'Let's Dance' by David Bowie.

Yeah, that sucked, but Don't Want to Miss a Thing was even more horrible.

American Idiot by Green Day and Bad by Michael Jackson. Two great albums represented by an awful title track.

Elton John's Disney stuff. The quality of his music in general started to decline after the 70s. Aerosmith used to be great, but then they did a lot of shitty pop with "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" being the worst. "Rikki Don't Lose That Number" is the least interesting song on Pretzel Logic and became their most overplayed radio hit. I'm fine with Meatloaf's early hits. "I Would Do Anything For Love" is horrible. XTC - "Dear God"... They're usually not as straightforward and boring as this. And then there are artists like Chicago and Rod Stewart who were excellent in their prime and put out a metric ton of shit after that. Call me crazy, but I actually like most of the songs you listed. I really like Aerosmith's pop power ballads, although "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" wasn't their best, it was at least tolerable. I even like a few of Chicago's 80s ballads, although "Stay the Night" can fuck right off.

There was a time, long ago, when Van Halen was my favorite band. But I despise "Jump", which, according to Wikipedia, is Van Halen's most successful single to date.

New York City Boy by the Pet Shop Boys for me. All they do is repeat the same line over and over again.

From the Beatles: Michelle and Come Together stand out as poor examples of their work.
From Springstein: Born in the U.S.A. just doesn't have any inspiration to the music. It sounds like something written in the shower.
From Duran Duran: A View to a Kill. Worst Bond song ever. Obviously written on demand instead of inspiration. But how do you write a song for such a stupid title any way?
From McCartney: Live and Let Die, another Bond song written by a great artist who usually writes from inspiration, and this is what happens when you ask a great artist to write something uninspired.
From the Who: Squeeze Box is just stupid and totally non musical.
From the Rolling Stones: Angie.
From Queen: Another One Bites the Dust. One of the ten most irritating alleged songs ever, but from a group of musical giants.

Everybody Hurts by R.E.M immediately comes to mind, I love R.E.M but god I hate that song, terrible both lyrically and musically.

Metallica - The Unforgiven
Eric Clapton - It’s In the Way That You Use It & Pretending
Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
Lenny Kravitz - American Woman (quite possibly the worst cover of all-time)
Rolling Stones - Hang Fire

St Anger-Metallica. I would have loved to hear the thought process when they made that one: "Hey, you know all those terrible nu-metal bands that a bunch of our fans hate? Let's do an entire album like that!"
