Not really. It's pretty much restricted to you. There's a difference between "logical" and "lockstep," just saying. And once again, you post a completely meaningless non sequitur reply to a post accusing you of making meaningless non sequitur replies. It is almost as if you have no self awareness at all.

where did I say Christians are the same as atheists? You said as much when you called atheists and Christians ' two faces of the same bad coin.' As a coin and its faces are so closely connected they cannot be separated when talking about the main thing when that thing is to be thought of as an essential whole. A coin will always have the same two sides in common just as a triangle will always have the same three sides - each side is the same equivalent making up a coin, even though they might seem different. Each coin has the same two sides. (What defines the 'coin' for you of course will be entirely ad hoc and arbitrary, but it is clearly the main thing you have been focusing on, and which you feel the need to redefine. And your claims have been based around a general equivalence of religion and atheism, rather perversely in everything except in the most natural and obvious thing, has it not?) I hope that helps. But, if now you are drawing back I am happy to accept a correction. It did seem a daft thing to say. Given that atheism is predicated around a lack of belief and the complete opposite is true of the religious the only similarity that can be suggested is that they are both concerned with the same issues of speculative metaphysics. Or, in the case of hard atheists both make affirmative statements of belief about the purported deliberate supernatural. Divorce rates, income brackets, shoe wearing and other common habits notwithstanding lol

I don't know if you were on the old IMDb board RFS butt that is where he earned the nickname many years ago of 'PlanetArlon' where everything is in line with his unique view of the world and its origins that is mostly unintelligible to 'others' of a more logical, knowledgeable, pragmatic and 'scientific' bent. ( NB I use his favourite word for lulz) One could also be mean and accuse him of some kind of position on some kind of 'spectrum' which is the fashionable things these days ( he doesn't like new fangled) in addition to his proven track record of Dunning Kruger syndrome. I just like to think of him as the antichrist of nutty non professors!

Again not to be doxxing, but do you have a problem with people thinking you have expertise you don't simply because you have a British accent (if you have one)? What expertise is required for managing a bookshop? What sort of books have you?

In sport, we call this 'playing the man and NOT the ball'. It is the opposite of an argument from authority. Belittle your opponent by casting 'nasturtiums' on either his qualifications or his personal worth judging by the job he currently has. Planet Arlon is really scraping the bottom of the logical barrel with this little stunt It also laughingly reminds me of this skit, speaking of English accents.

You keep keep trying to tell me what's what as if you're some sort of official information or authority. I already explained I have real life authorities to follow. I don't take grades from you. Is that still not clear? I realize that you have herds you follow, but you and they are not following any school. We just went over that. You failed miserably. In the United States it is obvious that each major political party is a herd running the country straight to hell on one fast train or another because they refuse to heed sound science and other valuable advice, especially mine. They refuse to trust anyone not in their herd. There are no sensible people in either herd. Why do you participate in these computer discussion boards? Have you no schools? Have you no books? I have lot's of books and have been to school. I get right answers and I don't need any help from people who never learned anything in school. Thanks anyway. The national debt is bad enough already that more people should realize democracy is currently failing. It's not just one party's fault. What can be done about it? The majority does not realize how bad things are. Perhaps they will not until the United States is very thoroughly embarrassed failing to cover it's debts.

I agree with who ever it was that pointed out that you seem unable to follow a logical argument let alone post a post that has a sequence of logical thoughts making any kind of point. You are all over the shop on many irrelevant subjects. I seriously can't be bothered trying to make sense of any of the babble about politics education and science about which you seem to know and understand absolutely nothing. AGAIN this paragraph is totally hilarious. WTF? It is a non-sequitur fest.

I"m not wrong and I know it. You are wrong, and I know that you're at least pretending to be, if not really wrong. World leaders are caught asleep at the wheel. Just look at politics. Are you saying any of that makes sense? It does not. What I have done these many years is explain why the world is so messed up. They are very good explanations. They do fit well. What you have done is defend the world leaders who fell asleep at the wheel, who follow the oblivious crowds and mistaken notions. There is nothing wrong with my logic. You simply do not respond to it because it challenges what you have accepted as authority. It is obvious that's what you do instead of use logic, you follow what you imagine is authority. It was many years ago that I said there are people who won't know what is really happening until the television tells them, they are that dependent on authority and government. You are doing a great job of being or playing those people. Why? What are you waiting for? One party or the other? They're lost and they're going to stay lost until some crowd tells them the truth or it all crashes and burns.

Divorce rates, income brackets, shoe wearing and other common habits notwithstanding lol Not to be doxxing or anything malicious, but what exactly can you do? What is your job? What is the nature of your work? Based on the evidence available on this forum, I'd wager he can do a great deal more than you.

Again not to be doxxing, but do you have a problem with people thinking you have expertise you don't simply because you have a British accent (if you have one)? When an accent is ever discernible on a message board then feel free to ask this condescending question again. It will also seem less of a mild ad hominem, Knowing which books go where is an essential skill. For instance we don't file books on coping with divorce or advice for high rollers in the religious section. We have an excellent modern science section which I know you would find helpful. Everyone is expected to know the difference between fiction and non-fiction. Among the other skills commonly required from a bookshop manager is dealing tactfully with sufferers of Dunning Kruger and with those difficult customers normally on their own, arguing with reference books which is so distracting for other browsers. We are also open on Sundays, not good for anyone wishing to attend fundamentalist meetings or Bible classes. To be honest though we don't have any current vacancies for volunteers, but we take those with special needs when there are. I hope that helps. Continuing deflection from preceding exchanges noted.

Everyone is expected to know the difference between fiction and non-fiction. I dont know if you know it, but a few years ago I saw designated targets by John Birmingham in a second hand bookstore. For one reason or another I did not buy it on the day I saw it, and came back the next day but forgot where it was in the shop, so I asked the attendant: me "Hey I cam in yesterday and saw a book I want to buy, it's called designated targets by john billingham" attendant "what's it about' m: "it's about a slightly futuristic navy fleet that is testing a warp field and accidentally sends itself back to 1942 and destroys the fleet bound for Midway in world war 2' a: 'Is it fiction or non-fiction"

I'm often finding the most egregious shelving of books by some of the volunteers at my place! For instance a copy of the handbook to Fallout 4 in 'travel'..

Here's an amazing thing about people and what they believe. Several atheists obviously replied here that it is arguing against a "straw man" since they do not believe a tornado could assemble an automobile. Let's examine that more closely. Which is more complicated? Is an automobile or a single living cell more complicated? An automobile cannot scour its environment to find and absorb food from which to obtain its own fuel. A human operator is required for that. A single cell can get its own fuel. Once assembled, by whatever perhaps a tornado, an automobile cannot duplicate itself. Human operators are required for that. A single living cell can duplicate itself. What is the point here? A single living cell is thousands of times more complicated than an automobile. A single living cell contains more information about complex and interdependent systems that cannot arise independently, at least not to any long term avail. Which is the Greater Leap of Faith? Obviously then to believe a living cell can arise from a series of accidents requires a greater leap of faith than to believe a tornado can assemble an automobile. It might be humorous if not so tragic but the atheists on this board believe the least likely thing by far than a considerably more likely (by thousands of times) thing. Conclusion Although atheists pride themselves on their "science" and "logic" they are utterly devoid of either. It is indeed a great wonder how the vast unschooled masses follow such imbeciles.

Obviously then to believe a living cell can arise from a series of accidents requires a greater leap of faith than to believe a tornado can assemble an automobile. It must be a great relief to you that, instead of studying what scientists actually believe so you understand their positions (which involves hard work), you can just pull bullshit versions of their stances out of your dumb, ignorant ass and call it a day.
