3.5hrs is really pushing it as it's almost like two movies in one. maybe it will work out, but then again 3.5 hours is a lot of time for a movie.

but in general for me... I think almost all movies should avoid being longer than 3 hours as even 2.5 hours or so is pushing it. the average movie should be about 2 hours TOPS, if not around 1hr45min. even for higher quality movies... exceeding 3 hours starts to really burn up a lot of time and it is a movie at the end of the day not some mini-series etc.
