i donโt even know how long this show has been off the air but it still cracks me up every time I watch it. More than any other show except maybe The Simpsons, this is a show of many individual moments, so itโs hard for me to narrow it down, but Iโve gotten it down to three key episodes:
The Hamptons The Opposite The Contest
I think if I was to have someone watch Seinfeld who has never seen it before Iโd start with these three.

I'd probably say The Opposite or The Parking Space.
I like those episodes that were essentially one issue that takes up the whole episode in real time. The Parkong Space, The Parking Garage, The Chinese Restaurant. All great, but the parking space is the best one, I think. All of the arguing about who has the right to the space, Kramer being mad at George and Elaine, Julia Louise Dreyfus' performance of the lie she tells Jerry, is all tremendous.
Plus George's method of parking in New York City is something I always reference and always abide by.
It never quite sat right that they were preparing to watch a fight in the early evening though.

I donโt know about the whole episode, but the scene that had me laughing the hardest was Jerry trying to throw the rye bread to George.

The Hamptons and The Opposite are my two faves. This entire scene cracks me up every single time I see it:

Some individual moments I love (by no means a complete list).
George explaining to his boss which leg is actually handicapped. Newman eating the muffin tops. The Zapruder like analysis of the magic loogie in the style of JFK. The Melrose Place lie detector test. Just about any scene with Puddy. At the hotel, to tuck or not to tuck. Kramer pretending heโs the Movie Phone guy. The close talker. Making out while watching Schindlerโs List. Elaine with Jerry in Florida, begging for the air conditioner to be turned on, and later yelling โStella!โ while under the influence of painkillers.

Of the ones not mentioned, I love The Pilot (not the pilot, but them getting the pilot at the end of season four) and "The Bizarro Jerry". And while it may be cliche, the Soup Nazi episode is great from beginning to end.

I donโt know the names of them but the first one that comes to mind is the one where Jerryโs girlfriend sees George naked and Kramer steals all the lobster and George puts lobster in the eggs to get back at Jerryโs girlfriend cuz she wonโt eat shellfish or something. I liked that George got revenge.

Anything involving Peterman and Puddy - the 2 best recurring characters IMO.
Puddy as the carsalesman (High 5!) was great.

One that I love that actually doesn't get much respect is The Bris. I think the subject matter might turn off some, but what a darkly hilarious episode.

The Chinese Woman.
The rines were crossed. Kramer's boys flippin' & floppin'. Elaine making her friend go AWOL & Jerry calling her on it. George climbing into the oven upon learning his parent's divorce. Frank with a guy in a cape.

Definitely in my top 2 or 3 favorite Seinfeld episodes. People love to talk about how original Seinfeld was, well sometimes it was and sometimes it was like something taken from an Abbott and Costello movie or even a Three's Company episode. Make no mistake, though, The Merv Griffin Show was one of the most unique 30 minutes in sitcom history. The thought of Kramer finding the old Merv Griffin set and then installing it into his apartment and basically starting his own talk show was insane enough. Then having everyone else just kind of accepting that and becoming "guests" of his show just added to the lunacy. Wonderful, original premise.

Idk the names of the episodes or if the episode as a whole are good but I have moments that I remember liking. The masterbation episode which I believe is "The Contest" episode you mentioned. Tge shrinkage episode. The episode where George leaves his car at Yankee stadium leading to Steinbrenner believing George had died or something.
It's been so long since I've seen that show but those are the ones that stood out. Also Eleine's boss Mr Peterman was always fun.
