World shaking question of the day ….
You know how, after a while, if you haven't used it, you have to kind of "scrub" a ballpoint pen to get it working ?
Are gel pens the same way or did I get a defective pack ? Once it is working, will the scrubbing be needed every time it is used ?
In the dark ages penwise and never tried 'em before so ….
Edit ..
solved with thanks to all !

The ones I'm buying have a small blob of clear plastic on the point, presumably to keep the ink from drying up in the package. I peel it off with my thumbnail.

Seems that in teeny tiny print on the side of the package that you tear into little bits trying to open the package it says that the tips have a bit of wax on them to keep the ink from drying out and they suggest that you remove it.
At least I think that's what it said ..I had to reconstruct the scraps.
Thanks all for the help !
