I first saw this around 10-12 years ago around Christmas and promptly forgot what it was called. Around two-three years later, I asked this question on IMDb and received the correct answer not long after, but have since lost access to my account (due to my E-mail address being defunct).
It has a nuclear family (Mother, Father, Son & Daughter) travelling through time whilst a (black) scientist is following them throughout the different time periods. During one period, they encountered giants and in another, life sized toys.
Movie was an American and / or Canadian production, possibly made around the 1999-2005 period. Please help!!!

i Love time travel movies ! i hope someone knows the movie. i have quite a collection. also tv series like quantum leap, Dr who, etc

Are you thinking about Josh Kirby Time Warrior? that's a 6 part movie/video series, has a trio of time travellers though they aren't related, a older man, a teen boy and teen girl + the villain of the series is played by Derek Webster, and iirc does feature a life size toy adventure entry and an adventure to the 70th century where humans are now giants, the series was also made in 1995/96.
Also has Charisma Carpenter in a few of them also if that narrows it down at all.
Best I can figure, if it aint this then who the fuck made a series so similar to this?
