Sony, because all the other four remaining major studios deserve the chance to claim the #1 spot at the yearly box office just once. And even though it goes without saying, Disney is greedy.

Need context.
I don't care about studios in and of themselves.
Disney has made more movies I like/love
Sony made my two favorite Spider-Man movies...3 actually.

The evil Japanese empire vs. the evil American empire. This time I'm going for the Japanese.

I wasn't aware they were fighting.
From what I saw Disney asked for half of SONY's profits.
After SONY got done laughing, they said "no"

Sony are ungrateful shits and this will ruin Spider-Man once again...... but seriously, f&*k D$sney! They are well on the way to almost single handedly destroying cinema, anything that slows them down a little is fine with me.

Even though I have many issues with Sony, I side with them in this situation.

After reading the actual details behind the fallout, I'll take Sony's side. Disney has enough money coming in from the feature films, theme parks, merchandise, home media, and etc. that they don't need to earn a larger portion of profits coming from the Spider-Man films. I wish they continue on with the original deal.

Sony, because all the other four remaining major studios deserve the chance to claim the #1 spot at the yearly box office just once. Or maybe the other studios should just try harder and run their business better. Look at how many films Disney have released each year...all the other studios have mostly released 2, 3 even close to 4 times more than Disney. They don't deserve a chance...they have the chance, they just don't seem to give the public what they want.

Maybe it's time for the other studios to merge. Kind of like back in the 1950s with the car industry. Hudson and Nash realized the only way they would survive against the GM and Ford juggernauts was to merge. They tried to get Packard and Studebaker to fold in with them for scale, but it didn't work out, and Packard/Studebaker merged into their own company. Both ultimately died out, but if all 4 had combined there is a chance they would have been able to compete. Likewise, I see a future where at least Universal/Paramount might have to merge and WB might have to seriously look to cut a deal as well. Sony is a huge company, but their Columbia wing might need a merger deal as well at some point
