He likely isn't going to appear in those films. At best they would plant the seeds for him like Apocalypse did for X-23.

I think that would be possible. Its possible that Brolins 4 picture deal is for one X-Men movie, one X-Force movie and 2 deadpool movies. But that is also likely to change.

Being a time traveler I hope they do. Really want to see Fox give another attempt at Apocalypse and using Cable would he perfect as he is integral to that arc.

While I dont think they will bring Apocalypse back at all I do like the idea of having him time travel to the past to warn the X Men about some catastrophe. Seeing him interact with the group would be cool. |

They need a new "Wolverine". If popular enough Cable could fill that slot. Mystique was to fill that slot, but both the audience and Lawrence got tired of the character in the X-men movies.

Mystique's screentime in the latest films were far too tiny to be considered a new "Wolverine". It's not really the screen time, but where she was in the movies as a whole. The OT was Wolverine, Magneto and Xavier. The PT was Magneto, Mystique and Xavier. It seems like the X-men movies will probably continue to be Magneto, Xavier and a 3rd. That's what I mean by the new "Wolverine". |
