Way back in the 90s, Sheik Mohammed had a "stayer", called Moonax who was a winner of the St Leger. He also won a prestigious Group One race in France. He went back to France the following year to defend his title and came up against another great stayer called Always Earnest. They were neck-and-neck over the last 150 yds and Moonax, frustrated at being unable to shake off his challenger, moved closer to his rival and tried to bite him. He missed and came second. Moonax was a "rebel" and his handlers at the stables often wore body protectors when dealing with him. He once, when being led to the paddock, decided to do a Michael Jackson and started walking backward. He had a go at Hurdles but wasn't very good
