I'd say someone would have to be mentally retarded to choose the 2011 version.

Both are a 7/10 for me. But the original has some genuinely creepy moments.

I’ve only seen the original. But I do love it. The vampires theme song is great.

I have only seen the Original and have heard mixed things about the Colin Farrell remake.

The original
Fright Night (2011) is one of the more tolerable horror remakes, but the original is better in almost every way.

I'll watch the 2011 version this weekend.
I've always loved the original.

I'd say someone would have to be mentally retarded to choose the 2011 version. I am on a message board right now where everyone chose 2011. I was on a forum like that too for awhile. I bet they're all like 15 and LGBT, even though the original Fright Night is one of the most homoerotic horror movies ever made.

Loved the original, one of the best horror movies of the 80s.
Only watched some of the remake, and I didn't like what I saw.

I really like both actually!!! My only complaints with the remake were a few things, I don’t know why they switched the Charlie and Evil Ed characters and I didn’t really get why Peter was made into a magician. It felt like they wanted to make a world where Vampire hunters did actually exist, but thought it would be too silly so they made him into a magician who also dealt with vampires.

The 2011 version is actually not bad especially for a remake. However, the original is a far far better movie!
So, the original by a mile.
You must be hanging out on some weird message boards.
