Now that you mention it, the old mimeograph copying machines produced a peculiar smell on our tests which was irresistable to students. This was immortalized in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

I can smell and remember my Grandpa cleaning his old 20 gauge bird gun seeing a photo of this. It has a very unique smell.
