I expect the Cards and their 'Air Raid Offense' to be a trainwreck. Apparently Kyler Murray has a hard time communicating with Kliff Kingsbury - Kingsbury compared himself to an extent to Chip Kelly the other day - that's not a comparison you want to make Bub - to a coach that couldn't cut it in the NFL. I thought Kingsbury had known Murray since he was a kid? That was one of the big reasons the Cards drafted him, because there was such a good relationship between the two. Now they can't communicate? If Murray can't play for KK, who can he play for? Apparently Kingsbury wanted input as to what Murray likes and dislikes as far as plays running. Murray stated he 'likes everything' - i.e. there's no input whatsoever. Now some may view that as a positive - that Murray has no complaints, he's the player, Kingsbury is the coach and the kid needs to get acclimated/accustomed/comfortable with the entire playbook; however being the floor general so to speak - some view the QB position as you need to be more vocal on what you see working and what you see that isn't working. It will be fun watching them. But I'm thinking they crash and burn. The kid doesn't seem to be the best communicator. This interview is flat out embarrassing:

Game was boring as hell and I'm a Packers fan. Everybody was glowing over the Bears 'D' - and deservingly so - but it looks like you guys have a decent D too True, but does anyone tune into a football game to watch D? The NFL should look into something to try and increase scoring. Go the Canadian route perhaps.

If it's the Eagles - yes. i.e. the legendary Gang Green under Buddy Ryan with Reggie White, Clyde Simmons, Jerome Brown, Seth Joyner, Byron Evans, Andre Waters, Wes Hopkins, Eric Allen - must see TV If it's a 3-0 game between the Titans and Texans - I'd rather watch paint dry.

That comparison seems fair to me. People were premature in crowning Carr the next big thing and they did the same with Trubisky. There were people saying that Trubisky was the best QB in the NFC North. I’d love to know who was saying that. You’d have to be an extremely dumb Bears homer to think that. I'll link to it when I get home. The topic originated from some guy on Twitter I never heard of which lead to Bears fans seemingly believing it as 100% fact.

Mostly people just calling him an idiot.

I'll admit that I know nothing about scouting players or anything but I was thinking that Watson was easily the #1 QB in that class. Wasn't impressed by a 1 year starter in Mitch. I knew absolutely nothing (never saw him or heard of him until draft time) about Mahomes. I just remember seeing Watson in those playoff games and thought, yeah he's easily the best one. I remember laughing when they got Trubisky and not Watson. Saw somebody on Twitter today compare Trubisky to Christian Ponder and I thought that was funny and yet harsh.

Dear god luckily I don't have to but for fun...I'd expect the Packers to maybe win 1 game against the Bears in the next 5 years or so.

I watched this historic opener on catch-up. Great dress-up, great occasion, Sleek Meek Mill getting unholy with Meghan Trainor on the pre-show. Life always feels better when the NFL roadshow gets underway. Here's to another great season.
