Nicholas Hoult drops out and apparently he was gonna be the villain. Esai Morales has replaced him. Missed opportunity for casting Antonio Banderas.
What is Nicholas doing that he would rather do instead of a mission impossible film? And what thicko is advising him to skip big pay days?

That excuse doesn't work with me. Everyone's financial stability is on the line because of covid then you have an ungrateful young actor use that dated excuse.

Sweet. Hate to say it, but Iβm not a fan of Hoult.

Have you not seen the others? the last three have been really good. My best friend dragged me to the first one (Which, to be honest, I remember precisely 1 scene of), I loved the second one, I think I've seen the third one (that one had Jonathan Rhys Meyers, right?), and I've seen GHOST PROTOCOL once in theatres (I'm a Jeremy Renner fan, so when a friend wanted to see the movie, that's how she hooked me into going). I didn't watch the most-recent one and hadn't planned to see the next one, till they said H.A. was going to be in it. Honestly, the last time I voluntarily and enthusiastically went to see a Tom Cruise movie, was probably the second MISSION IMPOSSIBLE movie. PS: My friend will probably drag me and wait for me to make fun of Tom Cruise picking some large dude to fight, so when he beats them, he looks impressive (Jai Courtney v. Cruise in JACK REACHER, Henry Cavill in the last MISSION movie, etc.). You should definitely check out the other ones. Starting with part 3, they have been good to flat out fantastic.

Omg how many Mission Oldpossibles does he have to make? I'm looking forward to the scene where he scales a Cliffside with his walker.

Well I guess it's only fair to acknowledge the second movie's existence.

Not good, Paramount has no confidence in Top Gun 2 McQuarrie disagrees. Then again, he doesn't seem like the type to pull a Josh Trank and lambast his own movie on Twitter.
