I saw that at the end of the episode. Pretty cool. Did you see the episode? I liked it, but it felt more like the last episode of Season 1 then the start of Season 2.

Because it is, they cut the final episode from S1 for some reason to repurpose for S2, why they did this I have no idea as the S1 "finale" didn't feel like a finale either, but DC being DC do dumb stuff at times, I haven't seen the episode yet, hopefully I like it and it's worth the wait whether it feel like a season opener or not.

I just saw the episode, kind of disappointed in how Trigon got used, also in his look, it felt a little generic for my taste, honestly wish they would have expanded the episode into like a 2 hour movie to work as both the S1 finale & S2 opener, and that way Trigon being done in 2 episodes wouldn't have felt like such a waste as it would have been a supersized episode, maybe he'll come back down the road? some things felt too rushed though, one thing I wish is we would have gotten the new Titans suiting up, still psyched for S2 though.
I think I give this a 7/10 overall, fun but room for improvement, oh an btw Jason is such a dipshit and I absolutely love it.

Maybe he'll return but i dont really care for Trigon anyway, obviously they dont have the budget to do him properly. What did you think of Bruce? Jason's great haha. Really felt like the Titans at the end though right? From the two vehicles on the road onwards

Really felt like the Titans at the end though right? From the two vehicles on the road onwards From the build up in S1 I was expecting Bruce to be colder, he actually seemed likeable in this which whilst Batman is cool and all is not always actually likeable as a person, but I liked the interaction with Dick and glad he wont be the major hang up he was in S1, Dick is finally ready to move past being Robin, I dunno if he's meant to pop up again later but that would be cool to see though, especially Raven & Beast Boy's reaction to meeting him, but dammit where was Alfred?
I kind of hope we get more Bruce maybe in small flashbacks like if in the next episode we have Dick get his new uniform as a present from Bruce then we get a flashback to young Dick overly excited wanting to figure out his name and he says Nightwing which we then see Bruce remembered and in the card writes something like "I think you may need this, good luck Nightwing." then we get the suit up I thought we were missing in the first episode.
Curious how they will use the older Titans though, like will we be seeing them current day or maybe flashback scenes of their past as the Titans for a while to give the characters time to move on a little in the present day before being pulled back into the team.
As for Trigon I kind of agree but I would like him to remain a part of the show, like do what the Teen Titans TV show did where Slade gets beaten but Trigon resurrects him to act as his emissary/weapon, they can get the budget to do Trigon right but probably only like in an episode, they just need to skimp a little on other episodes, now they have a home base it's easier as you can set one or two episodes primarily there and then save money by making them more bottle episodes, focusing on character development rather than oh look shiny cgi and stuff, that way they can build up some reserve cash to put into Trigon, as for right now it feels like S1 was a bit of a waste for all that build to such a run of the mill payoff imo, as it felt more like a VOTW ending rather than the finale of a season long arc for me.

Why is he blue? I thought Deathstroke was black and orange? Is this his long lost cousin Bluestroke?

Haaving rewatched the episode here are a few issues I had and forgot to mention not too huge but issues nonetheless. 1: What is with them repeating the Titans name so much, it stands out like a sore thumb to me, I don't recall them mentioning the "Titans" in S1 at all but in this they say it numerous times and in unnatural was to me, Kori calling Donna the Titan that quit was like wait wtf why refer to her as a Titan when any other noun would have worked.
2: Ok so Beast Boy who in S1 couldn't shift into anything but a tiger which he thought was the only thing he could turn into turns into a snake and that's not a big deal, the fact he shifted is only shown after he has done so also is meh.
3: Raven calling for Hawk & Dove to get Jason was for what exactly? was that really Trigon and I missed it, them showing up did nothing to help her, what was the point? Jason only helped in locating them but surely Raven could have simply told them where they were right?

Yeah Bruce was weird, especially since theyre going for the dark and gritty look. You would think it's part of his playboy persona..? But not to Grayson, the facade wouldnt be there. That reminds me of Smallville when Martha (that name seems terrible to even mention lol) gave Clark his suit twice? As for Deathstroke and Trigon, sure that could work

Why is he blue? I thought Deathstroke was black and orange? Is this his long lost cousin Bluestroke? No. Deathstroke changes colours sometimes. Unlike superheroes and villains like the Green Arrow, The Flash, The Joker and The Riddler who usually stick to the same colour Deathstroke has gone through a few different costume changes over the years and he had a black and white costume and his own team of superheroes at one point.
Have you seen the episode Deb? if so what did you think of Donna's uniform as I think you asked about it before, if not have you managed to see what the uniform looks like, I kind of have no frame of reference so curious what our resident expert thinks.

No. I haven't seen it yet dazz . We have had a lot going on here over the past week with my Aunt being in hospital on and off and we are behind with a number of shows in our Foxtel IQ Planner that we are only catching up on now but we are going to watch it over the next few days and I am curious to see what the second season is like 'cause I enjoyed the first even though I was disappointed they depowered some of the superheroes and I recently read they have ret-conned a lot of things in the second season and it showed by viewed as somewhat of a reboot than a continuation to the first series which sounds kinda confusing. Apparently one of the main things they have changed is the original team's history and how long they were together to fit in with Deathstroke's backstory and Deathstroke has been a long established villain in Season 2 who has come out of retirement when he finds out the 'Titans' are back together. They have also name dropped Arsenal setting up a future appearance for the character possibly in Season 3 since 'Arrow' will no longer be on air and I am hoping both Arsenal and Kid Flash or Impulse appear in the show at some point. I will let you know what I think of Donna's uniform when I see it but I like the version of the character we have seen so far and the actress isn't bad but it is time to let the heroes fly. Raven, Starfire and Wonder Girl should be in the sky flying around and fighting evil up high and saving people!!
Did you hear about the leaked photos of Brenton as Nightwing? They are hard to see 'cause it is dark but it appears he is wearing the Nightwing costume and one of the producers confirmed Dick will become Nightwing this season. I am curious how Jason Todd is going to become a Season Regular in this 'cause isn't he supposed to be the new Robin at the moment so he should be back helping Batman in Gotham or have they already introduced Time Drake and that is why Jason is now on the team?

Yeah they did retcon it a bit, well I dunno I don't think it counts as a retcon as I don't think anything is rewritten but more that the history is made more definite, one thing is they name drop the team multiple times, which is really odd when Starfire does it given she's never been told their former name before or their backstory.
As for Jason him being on the team is done pretty smartly, it's not flashy or anything but it makes sense in Ep1, and is reaffirmed in Ep2 and amusingly so also.
Haven't seen the Nightwing pics, I think I may not try and see them if I can because that rarely ends well.

Thanks for letting me know dazz. We still haven't gotten around to watching it yet and we are going to wait until there are a few episodes to watch and then watch them like we watched the first season on DVD but I am looking forward to seeing it. I recently read there are plans to have one of the Flashes in the show and with Wally West returning to 'The Flash' this season I think Impulse is the most likely character to be in 'Titans' 'cause he is the one Flash they haven't used in The Flash and I have been waiting to see a more comic accurate version of Impulse in live action and Impulse is meant to be the fastest out of all the Flashes and he had powers in the comic books Barry and Wally didn't have while the version of the character we got in 'Smallville' was more like Barry than Bart in many ways. I am hoping they bring in Bumblebee in Season 3 'cause she is the most well known character in the 'Teen Titans' they don't have in the show apart from Cyborg thanks to her many appearances in animation but most of all I want to see more of their villains 'cause they have a large amount of them that could be fun to see in live action and I know some people aren't fans of the villain of the week formula but it would get some more on the show if they did it every second or third episode.
What did you think of Starfire's new look this season? The photos I saw looked like an improvement but still not comic accurate. Are you going to watch 'Watchmen?' They are advertising it a lot here and it is going to be on Showcase and Don Johnson from 'Miami Vice' and 'Nash Bridges' is in it but I am not sure what role he plays. The ads look very different than the movie.

The ads look very different than the movie. Yeah I agree using more villains could be fun, especially like you said if they just do 2-4 in a season using the VOTW format as a breather between major archs, sort of reverse the CW model, also works a lot better also if they stick to VOTW's being lesser known villains or major ones that they cannot afford to do long term, like Grodd is a good VOTW for Flash because the CGI cost too much to make him a regular thing and his eps work as hooks because Grodd is a bigger name villain than most, but otherwise it's a great way to introduce lesser known villains and get around the sillier villains because they can be streamlined to just their more functioning aspects without needing to flesh them out so much that the silliness begins slapping you in the face.
I like Starfire's new look, yeah it isn't comic accurate but then so far she's not being a superhero she's trying to blend in more, but I just dig the hair this season, she looks serious and less silly imo which I like, also there is the thing not all comic costumes translate to live action well, also comics & cartoons also don't have to worry about the whole ridiculousness of the characters always wearing the same clothes, now if she actually gets a super suit this season and that goes full FoX-Men with little to no comic representation I wont be happy, there is always the happy medium, and I don't think Starfire's Titans outfit from the 00's cartoon should be too hard to replicate somewhat in live action.
As for Watchmen I dunno, I never really found that story that interesting sounding, I have the movie on DVD and have for years but I still haven't even opened it, despite all the acclaim and love people throw at it my interest is just not piqued by that story I guess, so I dunno I may get around to watching it, I may even love it, but it's not something I am going to be going out of my way to see.
