Hopefully gets his first game and goal for Forest Green Rovers, against Cambridge United today. Came to FGR on season long loan last week. Word is, he's a good un... Jack has only played 3 senior first team games for Celtic, and scored in one of them, becoming Celtic's youngest ever goalscorer (16 years, 71 days old). Welcome to FGR Jack 👋

Forest Green looking to bring all 3 points home this afternoon. At least a draw. Still early in the season, but League 2 is starting to take shape. FGR are well up there, but don't want fellow West Country outfit, Exeter, opening up their lead any further... and I fancy the Grecians to beat Carlisle today. Come on FGR!!! VEGAN POWER 🌱💪⚽

Jackie boy on the bench... fair enough decision by Coops, not pulling one of our established players for him so soon after his arrival.

Half time 0-0.
As predicted, Exeter are beating Carlisle... More importantly, local hate rivals Cheltenham Town have leap-frogged FGR in the table as it stands after 45 😱
3 points needed now lads... Don't want them scummers above us in the table!

Highlights.
Aitchison goal roughly 5:25 minutes...
Cracking penalty save just before that by Forest Green.

A Forest Green fan from Colchester who had travelled to Cambridge for yesterday's game took a heart attack in the stand.
Ground staff, and St Johns were quick on the scene, and got to work on him in the club's medical room.
Thanks to the prompt attention, the fan is still alive, in an induced coma, still touch and go.
I've said it before and I'll say it again... With all the money in football, the FA should provide every single non-league club with a portable defibrillator.
Heart attacks happen to players, and are surprisingly regular events with supporters at games.
Having a defibrillator on site significantly improves survival chances, over waiting for an ambulance. Any mug can pick up and operate one, they are foolproof.
Every now and then the FA tries to encourage non-league clubs to purchase a defibrillator... Not good enough. There's so much money in football. Provide every non-league FA member club with a portable backpack automated defibrillator, and make it a condition that it is kept charged, and taken to every game.

Post-match with Jackie Bhoy 👇
Seems a nice lad, genuinely happy to be at Forest Green.
Hopefully he can help FGR kick on this season, and FGR can help his development and progress towards the Celtic first team 🍀

Man of The Match was FGR's Welsh keeper Lewis Thomas 👋 That cracking game changing penalty save kept the game at 0-0, and reinvigorated Forest Green to push on and win...

Zoom in on scarf guy top right. He doesn't seem happy the penalty was saved, and looks a right psycho 😯 And phone kid bottom left... he's gone to a football match, he's right behind the goal where his team are taking a penalty right at that moment, and he's gawking at his phone screen 🤦

Good news so far, the FGR fan is currently hanging in there. And a nice thank you message from FGR manager Coops, to all involved... "A big thank you to all the Cambridge United FC staff, stewards and supporters for their speedy response, and members of the emergency services who performed life-saving CPR on the FGR fan." Good to see well wishes from Cambridge Utd, and it's fans 👍 Sometimes things happen at games that are bigger than football. Hope the fella makes a full recovery... We're a small club, and need all the supporters we can get 😉
