Loaded with ammo and the best coach of his generation at the helm. Sounds like a recipe for success unless Bill Belichick has finally bitten off more than Brady can chew.

One this is a certainty, this season won't be boring! Can't it be both answers?

It could be special for a while but Brown has mental issues. Belichick thinks he can do no wrong at this point but this will blow up eventually.

It may not blow up but it’s certainly not the best ever.

I don’t think this will blow up, if AB continues to act like a shithead diva he will be out the door, I think the Pats know how to not let him be a distraction, and if he isn’t a diva well he’s going to be a dangerous weapon for them.

Might be the greatest recieving corp of all time, but I guarantee when he's in a real tight spot, Tommy is gonna be wondering "Where's Gronk?"

I don't understand the fawning over Josh Gordon. He was last great in 2013 - - the only year he was ever great. People act like he was Calvin Johnson.

Ok....
Brown is a one and knows not to mess with NE. He will be kept in check, 6 rings for Tom...yea, he knows this is his shot.
Edelman is a fn monster. Put him on the slot, number 2 wide out, pure monster.
If Gordon can be HALF....half of what he was in 2013....all they need. Some teams would need him as a 1-2, all NE needs him is as a 3. This is wow for Brady......
Imagine if Gronk never retired...it be over.

The last time the Patriots had this much talent at the receiver position, they went 16-0, scored a million points and then shit their pants in the Super Bowl. I prefer my football teams to be the kind who know how to grind out tough wins.

We went from, "What are we going to do without Gronk," to, "How is Brady going to keep all these guys engaged," without playing a single meaningful game. On paper, I don't see how you stop this team. Those are the teams that always lose.
I'll say this, Brady will deserve the MVP just for managing this clown show. Maybe we can install a hook and lateral play for Gordon and AB and call it the Halfway House. I hope Bob Kraft was getting a 'massage' when he got the news they signed AB.

It's not just the offense; people are very, very excited about the Pats' defense this season. Do you share that enthusiasm? You've been highly critical of that side of the ball in recent years, to say the least.

You've been highly critical of that side of the ball in recent years, to say the least. I'm not impressed with their defense at all. As stated in a previous thread, they 'shut down' the Rams because Goff was in over his head, Gurley was hurt and Cooks dropped a potential TD (not the McCourty breakup, he had a ball straight up go through his hands at one point) in the 4th qtr. The defense got lit up by the Chargers and the Chiefs in the second half of those playoff games.
Spoiled, cynical, whatever you want to call it, I remain unimpressed. I hope they prove me wrong. I like what I see from our line in the preseason and the linebackers are almost always solid, but those DBs are shit, I don't care what anyone says. People made a big deal over JC Jackson and all he did was get away with PIs while being constantly out of position. Harmon gets flukey INTs from desperation heaves and bad decisions. Devin McCourty is a solid tackler but he's also not where he's supposed to be often. Jason McCourty busted up a TD to Cooks in the Super Bowl because Gilmore inexplicably got lost on the play despite the Rams having run it earlier and the Pats coaches specifically telling them to look out for it.
You hear the term 'bend but don't break' in every Patriots broadcast which is really just code for "play prevent defense for 60 minutes because we'll most likely outscore them anyway, and their QB will probably make a stupid decision sooner or later because there are only like 5 good QBs in this league at any given time, tops."
Edit: And I have to take a step back and laugh at myself. I don't know who you should hate more, your typical arrogant Pats fan who thinks they can do no wrong, or the a-hole complaining about his team that's won 3 of the last 5 Super Bowls.

One thing is a certainty, this season won't be boring! Ya just never know. You cannot base the future on the past. On the other hand with Rob (Hand Job) Crap rubbing elbows with Rodger BadHell to give them yet another soft and easy schedule and their continued cheating ways, maybe SB bound. Then again maybe and hopefully not. We shall see.

What a mess of a post.
