Degenerous at all here... I would not be a fan of hers though...
I am not. Don.t like her show. Whether she still does or not ...have one I do not know. Not a fan of her comedy either when she did that. Sorry.

NOt exactly a person a guy would like in the first place. She woman oriented.
Only women like her...just like oprah.

She can be funny. I very rarely see her show though.

She was good in that commercial where she played a pet shop owner. Back in the 80s wasn't it?

She doesn't annoy me. Out of all the recent Oscar hosts, she was the best one.

I am not of fan of the LGBTQ movement, but I think Ellen is a genuine person who comes off as very likable, regardless of who you are...

She co-hosted a television awards show one time, with the mom from 'Home Improvement' and she stole the whole show, after that she became the widely popular personality that she is now. This was before she came out as gay on her show.

I don't hate her or anything, but I find her too bland and vanilla as a comedienne.

I don't hate her or anything, but I find her too bland and vanilla as a comedienne. My complaint. I don't care for comics who started out with an edgier standup persona, and then toned down to jokes about toilet paper and housekeeping once they hit it big in the mainstream as Degeneres did. She reminds me a bit of Tina Fey, in that both of them are essentially bland, safe comedians who have become expert at putting over the notion that they're somehow transgressive comic personas.

I never found her that edgy to begin with (she was never a Lisa Lampinelli), but point taken.

Some parts of her show are hysterical. What's wrong with this picture, funny (whatever). Sometimes her practical jokes go too far and someone could get hurt. (No one in stilettos should be prank-startled, like, ever).
Her show from the 90s was just weird. You're gay, that's great, who cares in the end?

The first openly gay actress and lead character on a network sitcom was a big deal. Nothing weird about being proud of that.

I get what you are saying and I don't know if this is a gift of some sorts but I was able to tell. So for her coming out both on TV and in real life I was like... And? I just never thought of it as a WOW moment.

This gave a lot of Americans the inspiration to not only come out, but to accept those who do. P.S. Who was the first lead gay character in a network sitcom?
