Jesus, I'm sounding like Tom Rocks over here with these questions.
Anyway, of these three WRs, which one did you like the most and which one did you think was the best or most valuable in his prime:
Troy Brown Wes Welker Julian Edelman
I think i liked Welker the most. No reason, I guess. I just liked him, even when he was on that 1-15 Miami team. And that Foot press conference before the Jets game was the best.
I think Brown was the best one of the bunch. he just did so many things and did them well, he even played in their secondary a few years.

Troy Brown because he's an OG.
He also gave it on defense towards the 3rd title.
Still the only player in NFL history with over 550 receptions, 250 punt returns, & an interception. Not really sexy factoid, & yet it tells you all about him.
Edelman is a cyborg & deservedly the SB MVP last year... however, the dynasty needed Troy Brown's punt return TD against the Steelers to even start.

I've actually had this discussion with fellow Pats fans. Edelman is probably my second favorite Patriot of all time, but as twothousandonemark (get a shorter username!) said, there is no dynasty without Troy Brown. He made plays on both sides of the ball and Special Teams. Remember that Brady pick against San Diego in 2006 playoffs where Brown then forced a fumble and the Pats recovered? Is that offense or defense? Either way it was yet another clutch play in a playoff game the Patriots ended up winning.
That said, here's my list of favorites from the dynasty era:
1. Julian Edelman 2. Troy Brown 3. Wes Welker 4. Danny Amendola 5. Deion Branch HM: Randy Moss
Ironic that two of the best receivers in this era never won a ring with Brady. One of the great sports tragedies is that Welker didn't get a ring. Love everything about the way that guy played the game.
