The guy is right. The reason GOTG has such appeal is that it's, at the (g)root, a family drama in a CBM wrapper.

A great analysis. Perhaps Gunn injected some of his own personality into Quill, maybe facets among all of them or people that he knew/knows

Its a rather ugly film if you ask me So...What do you disagree with with the uploader of the video on then? Sounds like you did not watch the video and are commenting on how the movie looks visually - which is also eye brow raising as it looks better than most comic movies, much better than Dark Phoenix and Venom that much is certain which are both very bland looking.

It's not one of my favorite MCU films BUT it is one of their most visually creative movies alongside the first GOTG.

Visually and thematically, yes it is.

I still prefer the first one, but GOTG 2 has some incredible moments.

It's so beautiful sometimes I forget Guardians of the Galaxy really is the better movie. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 has some really terrific moments and upped the ante even more with the soundtrack.
There's 3 moments in GOTG2 that annoy me. Just and only 3, and they're all comic relief I thought took away from the seriousness of the situation. Unlike the comedy in the rest of the movie, which I loved, these 3 moments took away from what should have been the more balanced serious parts. They are: 1) the ravagers being catapulted into the air by Rocket's booby traps, 2) Ego turning into David Hasselhoff in the middle of the revelation that he murdered Starlord's mother, and 3) the mid-air collision final battle wherein Starlord chooses to turn into Pacman.
The first can be forgiven. The next took took away from two of the film's most earned moments.
Nonetheless I loved GOGT2. Similarly to Ragnarok, GOGT2 did really well and is still kind of understated for what it brings to the table. This on top of the money and praise it already has.

"If you don't mindlessly agree with our hive mind you shouldn't be allowed to voice an opinion." Remember when being liberal meant you supported free speech instead of wanting to destroy it?

Remember when being conservative meant just going to church on Sundays and not crying about liberals on discussions that aren't even political? Pepperidge Farm remembers.

I'm not white or a conservative so I wouldn't know about that. You however are both white and a cookie cutter liberal. That's why you told newnexus he shouldn't voice an opinion unless someone asked him to first. Of course NO ONE asked you for your opinion but you spewed it out anyway because like an Asimovian robot you must follow the white liberal laws. This time you followed "Do as I say not as I do." White libs adore that one. I think that White Lib Law #1, right? Personally I liked GOTG 2 well enough but it wasn't nearly as fresh and entertaining as the first one. Visually it was eye candy but all mcu movies have that "Wow!!! Sparkly and pretty. Gosh that blowed up real good. YAY!!!" thing.

I'm not white or a conservative so I wouldn't know about that. It's both unintentionally hilarious and sort of adorable when frothing at the mouth right wing nuts like yourself deny being conservatives but only post far right talking points when making their political opinions known.
