I frequent 2 boards which often have threads that ask for a "screenshot"/"still shot," from a film, to accompany each written response.
I don't know how to do that.
I can easily use the URL/URL method, to copy written text. But, that doesn't seem to work with still photos.
Perhaps, it's the source that I'm using. I try Googling "Images for (fill in movie"). When I isolate a photo, and use that (url) method, it gives only the whole website, picturing all of the photos.
Someone suggested using "tiny URL," but I seem to get that to work, for me.
Thanks

You need to get a direct link to the image.
Could you give me an example that gives you the whole website?

What you need to do depends on the browser you are using.

On "Trivia and Games," (Baker's Dozen), there is a current thread for examples of male actors wearing bathrobes. I wanted to offer Cary Grant, in Katharine Hepburn's bathrobe, from Bringing Up Baby. I Googled "images for BUB/movie." There are a gazillion stills. If I isolate one, and try to copy it. My response shows the website by title ... not photo. Anyone clicking on it sees the whole website, not the photo.

divtalAnyway, try this instead. When you do a Google Image search, right-click on the image and select "Copy Image Address". Use that for your link.

What you need to do depends on the browser you are using. Thanks, Catman These words (like "browser") terrify me. I access my daily computer use through Chrome. Is that what you mean? Meanwhile, go ahead and use Cary Grant in Bringing Up Baby. You deserve it, for helping.

I'll try it. Thanks. It should work. Just one more thing, though. In Google Images, click the result image so it opens in another window off to the side. Then right-click that image to copy the address from. It's not as convoluted as it sounds, trust me.
