So when was the last time you were in a hospital?
For me it was when i was 12 in 1995 and had my tonsils out.
I just remembered, i was in the hospital in 2002 but that was visiting my grandmother who was dying. So the last time as a patient in 1995, and the last time visiting in 2002.

My immune system attacked my nervous system causing some temporary (for me) paralysis. Some think according to his symptoms that rather than polio, FDR may have had GBS. Thank God it was temporary

Thank God it was temporary Most people totally recover. It took me about a year before I could walk without staggering. That's a pretty long residual effect One time I went to the hospital because I came down with Bell's Palsy at work. I don't think the meds they gave me helped. It just had to run its course My face was lopsided for 3 months and I have synkinesis

paulslaughWow, after 20 years. That's great you're able to lift. Right after I came down with Bell's Palsy, I ruptured a disc What a special year that was

QueenBThat's common for people to think that because of the sudden drooping. I didn't realize right away what was happening, but a soon as my face completely froze on the one side I knew what it was

My sister had Bell's Palsy too. I remember my mom calling me at work telling me she had to take her to the hospital. Before we knew what it was, we thought she had a stroke. I was in the same hospital where my mom worked at the time and after being stuck in the emergency room for about six hours getting sicker and sicker, she went apeshit on the ER staff. It was almost worth being sick to see that 4’11” woman demanding they take care of her “baby” NOW. Six hours??? Is the ER there that crowded or just slow? I've only had that long of a wait after a family member was admitted Geez, your mom showed great restraint holding back after that long. Bless her, my sis is 4'11" too

And in a sleepy Southern town hospital, so.... 30 years ago was right around the time I stopped going to bars every weekend to dance. My drinking pretty much came to a halt too

About 5 and a half years ago for my mom, when she passed away. I hate to even think about it. But it's one of those memories you can never scrub from your mind.

A couple times a month, Catman parks in the hospital parking ramp and walks through the hospital to the pharmacy he uses.
But as for long term visits, that would be in March when Catwoman with in the ICCU for a week followed by two weeks in a regular room.
