You must have set the bar pretty low, then.

I use to work nightwork. I listened to art every night. It made the time go by faster. I can't say I believed any of that non-sense but it was interesting.

A sleepless night. Where is Art when you need him? Did you know Art died on Friday the 13th. Odd but true.

The OP made me question whether or not I believe in the "paranormal" but I think the word is too vague to make any sense. That said, I loved Art Bell on my sleepless nights. He was always polite to his guests even when they said the most outrageous things but I doubt he really fell for any of it. That doesn't mean he wasn't paranoid. In fact, I might call him the father of paranoia.

I heard Art say one night I bring out on the radio things that I like. Some of the stuff on his show was just plain non-sense and he knew it. It was also a business so he kept it running....I miss Art.

"Coast to Coast" is a great show even now. Just about every time I've listened to it, the contents have been interesting or fascinating. However, a lot of it should be taken with a grain of salt. I recall one guy claiming bigfoot came to earth on a ufo. I couldn't help but think he wanted to sell a bigfoot book, but the field was too crowded. So, to stand out....
I heard Seth Shostak one night. How often to you get to spend a night with a guy who's looking for life "out there"?

Bell was a quack. As are many other talk radio hosts. Currently, Mancow Muller on WLS radio (890AM) spews some of the most ridiculous nonsense on the airwaves. Then again, he supposedly is trying to entertain the listeners. But his material is repetitive and redundant.

I miss "Ghost to Ghost" every Halloween. Very scary stories.
