1. Interview with the Vampire 1994 - Operatic, philosophical, majestic, brooding, epic - The best this genre, and much of film in general, has to offer.
2. Bram Stoker's Dracula 1992 - Ditto the above, but with an added level of intentional camp that adds to the charm, but may be mistaken as weak acting.
3. Shadow of the Vampire 2000 - Perhaps the most underrated of vampire films, but is a deep take into vampire psychology.
4. Let the Right One In 2008 - A real mind bender, as beautiful as it is tragic.
5. Nosferatu 1922 - The best of the best of the early vampire classics.
6. Lost Boys 1987 - Many have tried to blend in teen rebellion spirit with vampire lore, but this is the only one truly succesful.
7. Blade 1 and 2 - Including both for the sake of it, the best of cool kick ass vampire actΓ²n badassery.
8. Byzantium 2012 - In many ways a spiritual succesor to Interview, made by the same director, goes deep into fascinating vampire lore.
9. The Fearless Vampire Hunters 1967 - Honorable mention to What We Do in the Shadows, but this remains the funniest vampire film to date.
10. Fright Night 1985 - The most pure fun, classic camp monster feature "family frendly" vampire movie that is actual quality.
Please enjoy.

Interview With The Vampire is my fav, but I also really love Daybreakers. Willem Dafoe is gold and it's just an interesting story.

There is only one I score a 6-6.5/10 or higher at this point in time...
1)Byzantium (2012-2013) - 6-6.5/10
NOTE: Interview with the Vampire (1994) was my clear cut #1 for years but I no longer like the movie as of a Feb 2019 viewing.

The best vampire movie I've seen in years! Watched it late last October I think, maybe early November. Saoirse Ronan is excellent.Β
I should watch some of the Hammer Draculas and John Badham's Dracula (1979) before I make a serious top ten list. I'm going to buy the latter next month.
My top 4 though are
1.John Carpenter's Vampires (1998) 2.Fright Night (1985) 3.Byzantium (2012) 4.The Lost Boys (1987)
I bought the import of JC's Vampires released by Indicator years ago. Packed with special features! And I am going to double dip when Scream Factory eventually releases a steelbook version as they do all of JC's movies after the SF regular case edition's have been around awhile.
