For All of the Boxing Fans Here, If Rocky Marciano had fought Mike Tyson back when both of them were in their Prime then who do you yourself think would have won ?

Can we get a Rocky Balboa vs. Mason "The Line" Dixon type simulation here? Otherwise, it's pure guesswork.

Can we get a Rocky Balboa vs. Mason "The Line" Dixon type simulation here? Otherwise, it's pure guesswork. The closest thing that I have ever seen to something like that was that computer fight between Muhammad Ali and Rocky Marciano (it was really them) in which Marciano KO'd Ali.

These questions really aren't fair. If you want to debate these guys legacy, sure. That's a fun topic, actually. I'd say Marciano is the Greater Boxer, the bigger Legend.
But if you're asking who would win in a fight, then Tyson knocks him out in a couple of rounds. Athletes were not built the same decades ago. As time went on, they became bigger, faster, stronger, more durable. This applies to all sports. Don Hutson is the greatest Wide Receiver of all time, the Babe Ruth of Football. Guess what? he doesn't even crack a practice squad spot in the NFL today. It's just not a fair question

Tyson-Marciano is one of the more interesting "What if's" in Boxing. Marciano was Tyson before Tyson. Both were smallish, stocky with devastating power.
Marciano - 5'10 1/2" with 68" reach Tyson - 5'10" with 71" reach.
Tyson moved better than Rocky but Rocky could take more punishment. Mike would have landed more punches but would they have had any effect? All the rest of the fantasy Tyson matchups are fairly simple for me. Ali, Foreman (pre Grill Foreman). Frazier, Louis, Johnson, Dempsey, all of them would have used their size to beat Tyson. Not so sure about Marciano. Like Tyson (and Joe Louis and Lennox Lewis) never had to fight the competition that the HW of the 20's, early 30's and 70's. Marciano best competition was the decrepit Joe Louis, the aging Jersey Joe Walcott and the light HW Archie Moore. The only real top boxer he faced was Ezzard Charles. Beat them all, of course. Tyson had trouble against top opponents. Tyson only real fighters were Holyfield and Lewis. Beat neither but he was over the hill when he fought Lennox.

Hard to say.
Recently rewatched the Tyson Holyfield fights which were fascinating at the time. The Douglas defeat could be taken as a one off upset but Holyfield simply outclassed him and the mystical status was taken from Tyson forever from that point.
But then Holyfield was a massive guy compared to Tyson with a much bigger reach. Marciano and Tyson match up pretty similarly in terms of height and reach, so you've got to put an undefeated champ up against an explosive brawler and call it. Maybe an early Tyson would win but not really cut and dried...

I can't see many people holding up against Tyson in his prime as his raw speed/power is going to take out a high percentage of boxers straight up as there will probably be very few who got any real chance against Tyson in his prime in my estimations. because some say others have more size than Tyson but they don't have the speed Tyson has and the ones who can hold their own against his speed ain't got the power. so unless someone can keep Tyson away from them somehow I don't see them lasting too long.
but it would have been great to see all of the all-time greats go up against each other in their primes.
p.s. Holyfield seemed to be Tyson's kryptonite but I have heard some say Tyson was never the same after his trainer died. so I wonder how much that played a factor in messing with Tyson's mental state which could mess with his focus etc?
