Even as early as the end of last season, the more they hinted at and then blatantly established Oliver would die in the Crisis, leads me to think they'll have him survive at the last minute. This has only become more true as they club us over the head with the idea of Oliver's impending death with all the teasers and trailers. I won't be surprised if it plays out this way, but I hope it doesn't - I have a sneaking suspicion that at some critical moment when Oliver appears to be on the verge of being killed, "Old" Felicity will show up with the Monitor as the conclusion of the deal or whatever was going on between her and the Monitor in the season finale; and Oliver and Felicity will escape through a pocket dimension where they'll "live happily ever after" like Superman and Lois of Earth-2 did in the original CoIE comics. Really hope it doesn't happen that way, but it's probably going to be something at least as nauseating as that.... Oh god plz god no. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.... or at least probable.

Smallville's Michael Rosenbaum Turned Down Crisis on Infinite Earths Role"Friends, many of you have tweeted and asked me about joining the Infinite Crossover," Rosenbaum tweeted. "I can't tell you how much this means to me. I'll just be straight up about this. WB called my agents Friday afternoon when I was in Florida visiting my grandfather in a nursing home. Their offer: No Script. No idea what I'm doing. No idea when I'm shooting. Basically no money." "And the real kick in the ass 'We have to know now.' My simple answer was 'Pass'. I think you can understand why. I hope this answers all of your questions. Lovingly Rosenbaum,"

It's in keeping with what I expect will be fleeting, token appearances that are included only because those participate actors said yes, but don't actually constructively factor in the story.

Such a shame though. He's one of the best villains in all of superhero shows to date, not only was he great all the time but kept it up for quite a long time too

He was fair, and the preface of " one of the best villains" does qualify it better than how I originally read it, but I would say I liked Lionel more as a villain on Smallville; and Michael's Lex was often second to Lion. And while it may have only been mainly for one season, John Shea deserves his due as Lex on Lois and Clark.

Awesome news General Kenobi. It is just a shame they couldn't get Michael back too but I can't say I blame him for turning them down 'cause they wouldn't even tell him what role he was going to be playing and there are many actors who want sign on to a movie or TV Show if they don't know that or have read the script. They should have told him he was going to play Alexander Luthor from Earth Three. He is in the comic books and would fit into the crossover. DC really need to get Earth Three on screen. We have seen multiple bad versions of the superheroes in the movies and shows but never the good versions of the villains. Seeing villains like Lex, the Joker, Reverse Flash etc would be fun to see. I am still wondering if Laura Vandervoort and Justin Hartley will be in it too though 'cause I would love to see the two of them play Supergirl and Green Arrow again and we never got to see Laura in the proper Supergirl costume with the cape either either. Justin Hartley was saying in interviews not long ago he was interested in appearing in the show so it might happen.
I think this is the event they were saying Allison Mack was going to be a part of but after everything she has done she won't be in it but they could have Lana or Tess and one character that has a lot of people talking now is Wonder Woman and it looks like Lynda Carter could be playing the role again which would be wonderful to see!! Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman?
Wow...
I love the idea of Arrowverse veteran actors reprising Superhero roles that they played earlier in their careers... That whole "You look like _____" thing just makes the whole crossover more fun...
But anything more than that, just seems like... "TOO MUCH OF A GOOD THING"... I hope they don't try to bring in every character from every show...
I agree with Michael Rosenbaum...
No background cameos... Either have them play a significant role in the story... or don't feature them!
As for... Tom Welling... Lynda Carter... ETC... I don't want to see just a quick shot of their characters, as we see various Earths in the Multiverse...
I want to see, for example: ALL three (or more) Supermen standing side by side on the Same Earth, as they fight the bad guy!
All of.... The Supermen... The Supergirls... The Flashes... The Green Arrows...

I wouldn't be too optimistic at this point Deb, I think they start or may even be starting shooting the crossover already, I think it's all of 2 months away so it's not like they have any time to negotiate stuff, and unless they aren't going to be involved except on sets and not locations they wont be able to hide who they are bringing back, though Carter as Wonder Woman would be an awesome thing, even if she doesn't play "Wonder Woman" but she's now older and instead of Princess Diana she is Queen of the Amazons and we get a grown up Wonder Girl as the new Wonder Woman, obviously they wouldn't be able to use Donna Troy but they could use Cassie I think her name is they use on Young Justice as that.
Annoying to hear they didn't give Rosenbaum any incentive to sign up, also sad that he wouldn't just do it for nostalgia or the fans either tbh, personally I would have get rid of Cryer's Lex and just used Rosenbaum's even let him have that true villain moment where we get a Lex on Lex meeting and Rosenbaum's just kills Cryer's outright and then mocks him for being an inferior knock off, because Cryer's Lex for me has little to no actual value or menace to him, where as Rosenbaum's is honestly my favourite live action Luthor to date.

The Green Arrows... Yes. Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman and not as awesome but even more surprising in some ways it has been officially confirmed Ashley Scott is going to be appearing in the crossover too as the Huntress from the short lived 'Birds of Prey' TV Show and it is starting to look like this event is going to have characters from nearly every DC TV Show appearing in it and I don't mind as long as they don't just bring them back to kill them 'cause that would be pretty disrespectful to the shows and the fans. It does make me even more hopeful we will see Dean Cain and Teri Hatcher playing Clark Kent and Lois Lane again and possibly Justin Whalin as Jimmy Olsen. After the bad reputation the 'Birds of Prey' (2002) TV Show had I don't think anybody was expecting Ashley Scott to play the Huntress again and for all we know we might get Dina Meyer as Barbara Gordon and Rachel Skarsten as Black Canary since we never saw her become the Black Canary in the show and with Rachel appearing in 'Batwoman' the latter sounds like a real possibility. I would definitely like to see Laura Vandervoort and Helen Slater back as Supergirl and since there was only one live action Green Arrow before maybe they could get somebody who looks more like he does in the comics with longer hair and a beard to play the third one. I am not sure but assuming there have been any negotiations and what they are saying about Lynda Carter returning as Wonder Woman is true I think they would have already worked them out by now like they have just announced Ashley Scott returning as the Huntress and I think that would have been a deal they worked out a few months ago since it is October now. It makes me really wonder how many other actors they have up their sleeves and if Mark Hamill could indeed play the Joker. It is disappointing Michael won't be returning as Lex but I think it would be more important to have Justin Hartley and Laura Vandervoort return as Green Arrow and Supergirl since we have 'Arrow' and 'Supergirl' TV Shows and Justin hasn't confirmed or denied he is appearing so he is possible and I think Laura is more possible since she appeared before. I agree with you about Michael being the best Lex Luthor but I really liked John Shea's version in 'Lois and Clark' too and feel he is underrated and he was great in the first season of that show and it would be fun if they could get him back or maybe even Tempus and that is one character I have been saying I would like to see return for a while and I think he would really fit in with the 'Arrowverse.' Are there any particular characters you would like to see return?

Shea was good sad to say though despite Lex being an awesome character he's not had many strong portrayals in live action, but Rosenbaum and Shea are the tops for me also, so if they brought him back I could dig it, as for other characters I dunno, I would kind of pop huge if they could get O'Donnell & Silverstone to suit up one more time, those films aren't good but dammit nostalgia is nostalgia and if someone mocks the nipples and codpieces all the better.
Actually bring back Michael Shanks Hawkman his Hawkman voice was fucking hilarious also bring back Smallville's Impulse & Aquaman for shits and giggles give us some Smallville JLA action.

This seems more and more to be turning into a cluster fuck..... You say that as if every crossover isn't a cluster fuck of some sort, they don't tend to be good stories just you know nerdgasm fodder as they throw everything including the kitchen sink and the baby sitting in it at the audience.
