Does he realize that style of play isn't allowed in this league anymore? You can't even hand check. Any rumors up there of Ainge looking for another piece at the trade deadline? Most experts have the Celts in the 3 seed. Who'd be most likely to go for a piece / fit - i.e. who has value that can get value in return - Brown? Can't see it being Tatum. Don't think Hayward would fetch much with his contract (or is this the last year of it - which in case it would be valuable) It's too early to think about adding another piece, we have to see what we have first. This has to be a big bounceback year for Tatum and Hayward, otherwise I'd ship them out. Brown really came on down the stretch last season, it's going to be interesting to see if he can keep it up this year.

ESPN's Training Camp Power Rankings:
1. Clips 2. Bucks 3. Sixers 4. Lakers 5. Rockets 6. Nuggets 7. Jazz 8. Warriors 9. Celtics 10. Blazers 11. Nets 12. Raptors 13. Spurs 14. Heat 15. Mavs 16. Pels 17. Pacers 18. Kings 19. Pistons 20. Wolves 21. Magic 22. Thunder 23. Bulls 24. Hawks 25. Wiz 26. Grizz 27. Cavs 28. Suns 29. Knicks 30. Hornets
Disappointed they have the Hawks so low - think they're going to be a young exciting team to watch (just like the Kings) that's fighting for a playoff spot come the end of the season.

I cannot understand how the Bucks are always put ahead of the Sixers. The Sixers should be huge favorites in the East with that roster.

I cannot understand how the Bucks are always put ahead of the Sixers. The Sixers should be huge favorites in the East with that roster. I'm just worried about our shooting since JJ left. My hope was he'd come back off the bench I know he became a liability on defense (which is why I was hoping he'd be coming off the bench) but I'll miss him. But we have Tobias, J-Rich, Horford is a decent outside shooter and we've seen Jo-Jo get streaky from beyond the arc. Very curious to see if we could do what we did a couple of years back at the buyout period when we got Beli and Ily. I'm also very curious to see Trey Burke who can be a microwave scorer off the bench but apparently his problem has always been defense. It's going to be very exciting here this year. I just think at times we're going to miss that sniper sharp shooter - but apparently from what I read yesterday Jo-Jo is working with J-Rich to show him how JJ used to catch and shoot off coming off of screens at the perimeter which was always a thing of beauty to watch. I can't wait.

Bucks lost Mirotic and Brogdon - which I think are big hits. But they have some intriguing vets to surround around The Greek Freak Bledsoe Hill Ilyasova Korver The Lopez Brothers Wesley Matthews and Khris Middleton I can see them being at the top of the East. But I'm really intrigued by what happens at the trade deadline and buyout period to see how both the Bucks and Sixers prepare their final rosters for the playoff push.

Anybody else think we may all be sleeping on the Mavs in the West?
Of course this depends on Porzingis staying healthy all year but -
That pairing of Kristaps and Doncic could be pretty deadly.
Going to be fun to watch them.

Anybody else think we may all be sleeping on the Mavs in the West? They play in the West. Even though they may be a fantastic team, playing out there makes them the 39th best team in the West. NBA should simply take top 16 teams for playoffs. A team like the Mavs would then have something realistic to shoot for.

Portland 4 - Milwaukee 2
Houston should run away with the #1 seed because their division is meh. Everyone else good has to battle.

What do you think about Houston's supporting cast they have around Russ/Harden though? It's pretty 'Meh'. i.e. they've got PJ Tucker and Eric Gordon. Interesting you've got Portland coming out of the West. I wonder if they go out early again if they think about turning it over and trading Dame or CJ.

Sneaky Team To Watch That Could Fly Under The Radar:
Maybe 6th or so in the East - expect them to be in the same boat as the Heat, Nets possibly Magic.
Detroit Pistons
Nice vet presence:

Harden & Westbook… Supporting cast?? lols good one Jerry! I liked Portland's playoff run last spring, they really do not give a fcuk about pressure or expectations. They could derail any team in the west best of 7. I'm simply hoping for it.

Wow. Hope he doesn't lose his job over it and I'd be disappointed in the Rockets / NBA if anything came of this.

Happy for Fox and Hield when they were criticized by some in their respective draft for having huge 'Bust' potential.
