James Cameron's dream grunt ensemble. Arnold was the only one missing.

Jones should have had a bigger role. The highlight was when Carter J. Burke got killed. Did you ever see Burke's Deleted Death Scene when later on after the Alien gets him, Ripley (while searching for Newt in the Alien Hive) finds him cocooned ?
If not then here it is below!

I really liked how it was constructed. I thought it was clever how the audience pieces together the fate of the colony at the same time as the marines do. Agreed!
In fact, You should check out a Book called "ALIEN: RIVER OF PAIN".
It actually tells the story of how the Colonists from "Hadley's Hope" (The Colony from "ALIENS") found the Derelict Ship and then how it was later taken over by the Aliens.
It is actually a Pretty Good Book.

Apparently Cameron's original cut of Aliens was much longer, and included scenes of the colony before all hell broke loose, and gave some of the backstory of how the aliens took over. But the studio wanted a shorter running time, so they could have more showings per day, which means more money. So Cameron cut all that for the theatrical release. As I wrote above, I thought this studio demand actually improved the film.

I actually own the "ALIEN QUADRILOGY" and it includes the Director's Cut of "ALIENS" in it.
How about you ?
Have you also seen the Director's Cut and those scenes of the colony before it was taken over by the Aliens ?

No, I've never seen the Director's Cut of Aliens. I have seen an expanded cut when the film aired on television. That included some scenes cut from the theatrical version, including Ripley's daughter, and the aliens taking on the auto-sentry guns. But that version did not include any scenes set on the colony before it fell.

Despite the poor video quality, that was worth watching. Thanks for sharing!

Have you also seen the Deleted Scene involving Burke's (the Main 'Human' Villain in the Movie) Death ?
If not then just scroll up, I actually already posted the video (more bad quality by the way) of it for somebody else here.

With the poor video quality, it was hard to tell what happened. Did Ripley give Burke a grenade to blow himself up with? If so, I can see why this scene was cut. It distracts from Ripley's hunt for Newt, and the death-by-grenade thing was already done better in the film ("You always were an asshole Gorman").

I was skeptical about this leading up to its release, as I considered the original to be a perfect movie that didn't need a sequel. But I was blown away by this movie, it didn't try to re-create the horror movie aspect but went the action movie route instead, and was just as white-knuckle as the first. A notch below the original, but still a classic.
