www.treknews.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/kirk-gorn-fight.jpgThe video from Mr. Trebek did not transfer. Why? ? 52.4K subscribers SUBSCRIBE One of the things I have learned in the past six months is that the course of pancreatic cancer treatment is not a straightforward affair. There are always curves and unexpected events. This summer, because I was making such good progress, we thought I was finished with chemo. That was a bit premature and certainly overoptimistic. I began immunotherapy, but that didn't go well. My numbers went south – dramatically and quickly. The doctors are now reexamining my situation, and it appears I will be having more chemo treatments ahead of me. Hey, they worked very well the first time, so we're expecting good results again. Please keep me in your good thoughts and prayers. It really means a lot.

Some make fun of prayer, but it doesn't hurt.

I noticed a lot of people say that and while I am sure some actually do pray, I think it's more of a formality for many to say it just because it looks good/sympathetic even though I suspect many don't actually pray. p.s. but since you brought this up... ill keep Trebek in my daily Rosary
Only those godless types don't believe in prayer. I know it works given one thing that happened for me a while ago (I never said what it is though but it was clear cut proof to me that prayer works (some advice... pray The Rosary daily as daily is key)). but much of what I pray for I won't be able to see the results of it, but, through faith, I know it's doing good. but another reason why I think it's easy for those godless types to write off prayer because it's something they can't really measure (like to where it's consistently repeatable(but since prayer does not work that way you can't really measure it from a scientific point of view, at least in this regard))... like some people might be saved because of prayer, like a miracle from God where they get healed from say cancer and the doctors can't explain it etc, but others who also pray in a similar situation, end up dying. that example makes it that much easier for them to write off prayer as useless because it does not conform to that standard of repeatable results to definitely say something works or not. I can understand why when it comes to medicine etc, but when it comes to the supernatural, science can't measure everything and, as usual, faith comes into the equation. p.s. but speaking of prayer... the more holy someone is the quicker their prayers tend to get answered. but as usual, regardless of ones holiness... not everything we ask for we will get (or maybe not always in the way we expect) as God's ways are above ours and we simply can't see the big picture like God does etc. I am sure you get the gist of it

Thanks.
