I actually liked Star Wars (IV) the best as a kid but ESB was my second favorite. ROTJ was always my third favorite (guess that means least favorite up until the prequels came out) just because I didn't care much for Jabba's palace or the Ewoks. My favorite sequences in ESB was Hoth, the asteroid belt, and the portions taking place on Cloud City. I was never a big fan of the Dagobah sequences.

I thought I was the only one who preferred STAR WARS (1977) We are few but we are mighty and WE FUCKING RULE!!! I go back and forth. I think Empire is a better made film, but Star Wars is the more entertaining.

Wouldn't say dislike, but I'm pretty indifferent to Star Wars in general. Haven't seen it in 20 something years and can't see myself watching it again.

I switch between it and SW in terms of which I like better. The tone is very different from the first-and you could argue it goes too fast. There are quite a lot of wookie growls.
I think Luke's personality has a noticeable change when he arrives on Dagobah which is out of character unless the planet was doing something to his mind.

I don't hate it, but it's definitely not that great of a movie either and movie hipsters only love it because it's old and they think loving this movie somehow makes them unique and special.

Could have done without the incest kiss That's YOUR problem, not the film's... None of the characters even know that they were brother & sister until the next movie... The act was meant to be a funny moment in the film, and to piss Han off... I'm sure everyone puked their guts out in the Ewoks Outhouse, after they realized what they did.

It pleases me to know, that someday you will be old, and using a walker, while living in a nursing care facility... Maybe then, you will learn to show a little more respect for the different generations.

It took a groundbreaking scifi fantasy and broke even more ground by turning it on its head and ending with a bittersweet tragedy that led famously to the trilogy finale. First time it was done and done so well at that.

No, that's Lucas's fault for deciding to rewrite Leia and Luke as brother and sister in ROTJ. Pretty sure that's something he decided to clumsily throw in the next film after TESB, kinda how never orginally intended for Vader to be Lucas's father.

But respect is something that must be earned my dear friend...and as far as I'm concerned, there are still certain things from the past that has yet to earn my respect and as long as they involve slick snarky replies threatening my personal life like this...they most likely never will. Besides that, you need to point to me where I said that I don't like the original Star Wars movies of their age...let alone point to where I ever said that I don't like old things and don't older generations tastes...way too jump to fast unnecessary conclusions. I never actually trashed The Empire Strikes Back for it's age. I was commenting on it's lack of quality compared to its much undeserved status among the public eye and Star Wars fandom.
