Watched it on TV during Easter 2001 while recovering from a minor operation. I was in a lot of pain and discomfort, but the movie distracted me somewhat and I'll always appreciate it for that. Thought it was a fine movie at the time. Nowadays, I'd rank it as my third favourite entry in the franchise. What are your Top 2 Favorites then if you don't mind me asking ? 1. Part VI: Jason Lives 2. Part 2

Kind of weird, but it made me miss the mountains, state parks, and camping. I didn't see it until high school (early 1990s) but it brought back a lot of nostalgia for the early 1980's (outside of psycho killers stalking people). The first time that I myself saw it was the mid 1990's and it was on TNT (they were doing a "FRIDAY THE 13th" Movie Marathon by showing the First 3 Movies Back To Back To Back) so it had a lot edits for TV in it. I still did very much like it though and I had no idea that Jason's Mother was the Killer in it and not Jason himself.
I don't think I saw the real version of it until the early 2000's and I liked that one even more.
As of Today, The Original 1980 Movie is not only My own Number 1 Favorite Movie in that Franchise but also My own Number 1 Favorite Slasher Movie as well.

Interested and surprisingly relaxed. I liked the slow, quiet moments in the film. Those moments helped built the tension and eventual horror.
