Is that Rocky's brother-in-law? That it is.

Is that Rocky's brother-in-law? That it is. Don't think I've ever seen it, but just based on his filmography and that it looks like an image from the early 80s I'll guess; Amityville 2: The Possession. Although I'm surprised to see that there are a few genre movies of that era that it could be.

Interesting. I think I've only seen the original and the remake. I also saw the first 15 mins or so of one last year called Amityville Thanksgiving. It was on Tubi, or something, but it was not a 'real' movie. Somebody obviously realized that they could just use the title freely and thought they'd be able to sell it based on the name alone. It was made by and starred older people, but looks like something I'd have put together in middle school. As I understand it most of the movies with the name Amityville are kinda like that... but this one had to be worse than any of the others.

That's pretty much how it is with most of them, especially post-remake. 2 is the closest sequel in terms of connective tissue it has with the original with it serving as a prequel and loosely based on the real murders. It's more intense and eventful as a movie IMO though it may not be everyone's cup of tea with what happens.

I'm a sucker for subjecting myself to entire series, but because of all of the nonsense with the title that may be too daunting. I see that Rocky's brother-in-law is also in The Amityville Murders. Is that one not a direct sequel?

From the synopsis it sounds like a remake of 2, and not only does it also have Burt Young but Diane Franklin too and they're in different roles.

That's it. Timely for a few reasons.
