I kinda wanna say Cube, but I know it's not that, and I'm pretty sure it's not Devil either. Could it be Down, the movie with that unfortunate alternative title; The Shaft? Or The Lift, of which Down was a remake by the same filmmaker?

@fatherjack, masterofallgoonsNeither. The movie itself doesn't revolve around elevators or lifts, but there is a death scene involving one. Here's another shot from the same scene.

Can't see the image for some reason. Me either. My internet has been quite slow going this morning. So I thought it might have something to do with that. But I guess not.

I can see this one. Still don't think I know the movie though. It appears to me like a black and white movie from the color era though, as the guy and his manner of dress doesn't look like like it's from the 50s or earlier. Pretty sure this isn't it but I'll throw out a guess: Shock Corridor?

It's indeed shot in the color era (perhaps more than I'm letting on...?) though it's not Shock Corridor. The guy MAY be from the 50s or earlier...or may not be...

Don't know... But it's got a kind of British film look to it 🤔 American, though a British one hit wonder band apparently made a song based on it.
