With the Hairspray poster in the background. Maybe a film from the late 80s, or early 90s? The Blob? Late 80s, yes. The Blob is a good guess, in a 6 Degrees of Kevin Bacon way.

No, but I did put Scream 2 in the link to see if anyone would try to use it... Oh okay. I didn’t actually click on the picture, I didn’t even realize you could do that. I only guessed Scream 2 because that second pic looks like the ticket booth of a movie theater. And Scream 2 was the first movie I thought of that has a theater scene. It looks too new to be Demons (1985), which is the only other movie I can think of set in a theater. It doesn’t look like Popcorn (1991) either. And I’ve seen several movies with that doorway shot from the first pic, so I really have no idea.

I'm guessing that it's got a scene or sequence set in a theater but not a as its primary setting, since I Lso couldn't place it among movies I know are set mostly in a theater.

You're on the right track. At the risk of guessing the same way that I just suggested not to.... The Ambulance? Nah, likewise this is the only ambulance scene. Also, late 80s. Surprised no one untangled the connection to The Blob. Someone also noticed something before that might be a bigger clue than realized.

I was thinking the same thing. My guess was Scream 2, which just had like one scene in a theater. And my other choices, which I automatically eliminated, may have taken place mostly in a theater but they were the only horror movies I could think of that had that setting, regardless of duration. I would have guessed The Blob also, which had a brief scene in a theater, but someone already tried that. As for that third picture, that looks somewhat familiar but I still have no idea.

Now the Hairspray poster makes more sense. Produced by the same people and the blob director did the previous Elm st sequel. The clues really helped here.

Can't really place it. Is it a foreign film?

The actor with the stupid hair in the first picture looks familiar, but I can't figure out who it is.

Can't really place it. Is it a foreign film? It’s an American/Canadian film. clue; supposedly the lead actress claimed the film destroyed her acting career.

The actor with the stupid hair in the first picture looks familiar, but I can't figure out who it is. Looks like he was in a couple of mainstream comedies at the beginning of his career, but afterwards TV, shorts or straight to DVD films.

The second clue might help storm up some ideas.
Clue 1: supposedly the lead actress claimed the film destroyed her acting career. Clue 2: there was a popular filming gimmick attached to the film. Probably not as popular now, but then it was.
