16 of them. Not a Brando fan.
Also question what happened to Vertigo? I thought it had displaced citizen Kane on this list a few years back. The film was more American than Lawrence of Arabia... I love both by the way.

12.
I hated It's A Wonderful Life though. I'd rather watch almost anything else.

These are the best 20 American movies of all time according to the American Film Institute. ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/w7v8ch9qx/cooldance.gif)
The only 2 films from this list I actually haven't seen is
" Schindler's List 1993 " and " The Bridge on the River Kwai 1957 " perhaps one of these fine days I may get to see these on the channel TCM ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) .
IMPO - I agree with most of this movie list except for the film " The Godfather 1972 " only because it just really wasn't my cup of tea here ( but of course no offense to anyone here who did like this particular film series ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) ) .
Thanks so much Refiner for this subject post ![](https://s26.postimg.cc/m1dg20al5/biggrin.gif) .

All of them. Some are great, others merely decent. Very hard to call any of them the best.
