Who are your own Top 3 Favorite Good Guys and Top 3 Favorite Villains from the "GAME OF THRONES" TV Series ?

Sandor Clegane
Bronn

Cersei Lannister
Ramsay Bolton
Joffrey Baratheon
Most characters fall one way or the other and in and out of good storylines throughout the series, but these were all fairly consistently good people to root for or root against for my taste.

It's a bit hard to define many of the characters as good or bad. For instance, I would consider Bronn a bad guy, but I see Marv has him as a good guy above - you could probably make a case either way. Tyrion was generally presented as good but his murder of Shae was really not something a good character would have done. Sansa had a lot of bad things happen to her but I don't recall her ever doing much that was actively good or bad. Then there are bad characters who became somewhat redeemed (eg Jaime and Theon) and good(ish) characters who turned evil (eg Daenerys).
Anyhoo, I suppose I'd go with:

Good: Stannis, Arya, Mance Bad: Tywin, Roose, Cersei Stannis & Arya were among my favourites. Also liked Ned.
I suppose Tywin was a good villain. Also liked Littlefinger and Ramsay.

Good:
Sansa - turned in the political powerhouse on the expense of Littlefinger and Tyrion.
Davos - Smart, honest and down to the earth
Melisandre - Redemption
Bad:
Roose Bolton - smart, cunning but not cruel.
Night's King - would have brought the entire seven kingdoms to heel if it hadn't been for that ridiculous deus ex machina attack of Arya.
The Hound - He is responsible for the death of many chickens. Otherwise...anyway: I wanted him on my list.

Ramsay just cruel, and not smart (the resources he had at hand and wasted entirely, were the fruits of his fathers's work)

Tywin, Samwell, Jaime and Cercei would have been top 5 candidates

It could be argued that up until that moment he was as likeable as anyone in Westeros, which may not be saying much about the people of this world. I’d also say that his reasoning behind most of his actions is more what makes him interesting. He has a resolve and a stubborn pride that makes him stand out as a character. |

Davos saves his ass at Dragonstone by bringing is supplies and he reapys him by lopping off four fingers. He might have had a good moment by crushing Mance Rayder but he just had to burn him alive. And he got his army slaughtered by Ramsey. I just didn't have a bit of use for ol' Stannis and this was before he did perhaps the most unspeakable act in the whole series. Shireen was the nicest character in the whole opera and the fucker torched her.

That’s actually what makes him interesting to me. His absolute devotion to doing what he believes is right, no matter what it costs him or who it offends. He has a view of the way things should be and he is steadfast in keeping things that way. I definitely enjoyed his character for most of its run, in books and the show, but I never trusted he was right because of Melisandre. Any god who demands burning people alive is not one to be trusted. Totally understand if he’s not your fave tho. He’s not one of mine personally…but the best thing about this world is how interesting and different so many characters are. |

I thought Tywin Lannister was a fascinating guy. but I can't call him "good" by any stretch. And that what makes the show great. Eddard Stark is a good guy. But he's naive and, at times, downright stupid. The Mad King was a benevolent and good ruler in the beginning. I do agree with you that The Hound was a good character. And friends have thought be to be crazy. Another is Jamie Lannister. His only real despicable act comes at the beginning, pushing Bran off the tower, He redeems himself many times over.

I love this show but there are no good guys in Game of Thrones. But I will list a few I really like... and a few I disliked. Good - 1. Tyrion Lannister 2. Ned Stark 3. Jon Snow Bad - 1. Daenerys Targaryen 2. Tywin Lannister 3. The Hound The way I see it, the death of Ned Stark symbolizes the end of all justice in Westeros. From there on out its a long list of bad guys vying for the throne. And I suppose it's debatable as to whether or not Tywin Lannister is a "bad guy" but he has such great presence that it makes him a very likeable character.
Charles Dance was spectacular in this role.

I'm still trying to figure out who's dumber between Stannis Baratheon and Theon Greyjoy. Its gotta be Stannis. Roasting his own daughter was way beyond the pale. And he was a fool when it came to military strategies too.

I'm still trying to figure out who's dumber between Stannis Baratheon and Theon Greyjoy. Its gotta be Stannis. Roasting his own daughter was way beyond the pale. And he was a fool when it came to military strategies too. Theon was driven by jealousy. He was jealous of House Stark being so much more powerful than House Greyjoy. Jealous of Yara being the apple of their father's eye and he was the butt of jokes. Jealous that Robb, Bran and even Jon Snow were better at everything that he was. he seen the opportunity to outdo House Stark and Yara and impulsively took it.
Stannis was jealous of Robert and Renly but it didn't move him as much as Theon. Stannis was driven by Melisandre. And the Red Woman is a character I cannot figure out. She was so sure that all of her moves would make Stannis King and they were so obviously the wrong moves. Was the "Lord of Light" playing Melisandre or was Mel playing Stannis? Stannis' war record had been pretty impressive (Ned thought so anyhoo) before Robert's death and so lousy after. Renly would have crushed him if he hadn't died and Ramsey ran rings around him.
I don't think either was dumb (Ned Stark took that prize, dumb or totally naive), just driven by bad advice.
