Did you finish watching it ?
I saw it recently and sort of liked it to start with but after it was over felt disappointed. It just sort of went "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"ish and that didn't really work for me.
I liked Carrey ok as I tend to prefer his non-mugging roles but the schmaltz did go ballistic. Stiers and Whitmore were good.
