my windshield. Pretty funny story.
Because I had glare on my windshield because see... the dashboard is made of vinyl and plastic... So therefore it made the window have glare on it so night driving was not good you see...
Because of the transference of the oil from the dashboard matereals you see. To the window.
So I scrubbed it with rubbing alcohol first, which took forever. And it was fun. Fortunately I get to drive eary in the morning, so I can check out if there is no more glare...
And I put rubbing alcohol on the front of the window. Hopefully it will make the wiper blades stop making a horrible noise because of friction.

I heard , that plastic and vinyl dashboards have oils...
when the sun beats down...the oils come to the surface and evaporate. And end up sticking to the windshield. I do not know if this is the case for older cars … but I do know it can sometimes happen in newer cars.
Or another cause is using greasy protectants for the dash...or smoking.
It could be false information.

Put some Rain-X on your vehicles windshield as it makes a world of difference (as in you won't even need your wipers on at all) when you get a heavy rain when applied properly. I am not exaggerating here either as it tends to work best when it rains harder than a light rain but even in a light rain it makes a difference to where it beads up on the windshield and rolls off so you can still see out of it etc. or ill say this.... when Rain-X is properly applied and your doing say 50-60mph (or thereabouts) during a hard rain outside, you literally don't even need your wipers on at all as the water instantly beads up and rolls off the windshield from the wind pressure. it will eventually wear off but it's worth your time to apply occasionally as the less you use your wipers the longer it will last.
plus, putting Rain-X on the windshield makes it noticeably smoother to the touch which I suspect will cure your friction issue to.
but to state the obvious... before applying Rain-X make sure your windshield is clean. like say some dish soap to clean it etc. but since you hit rubbing alcohol on it, that should be pretty clean. still, it would not hurt to clean it with some dish soap and a sponge, make sure windshield is dry, then properly apply the Rain-X.

I put on the window, nu finish car polish. That is used of course for polishing the car only which is what it says on the directions. But I heard, using on windshield will make wipers quiet.
it does not contain wax, so it will work. Actually I don,t know yet. But I put it on. the windshield. But it hasn,t rained yet so I can,t find out.

Now I think I figured out how to fix. The wiper blades only makes a noise when the blade goes up. So therefore I gotta turn the drivers side wiper blade arm to the right, with a wrench.

If your going to do that, Rain-X makes more sense since it will smooth out the windshield and repel rain very well (it makes a dramatic difference, I am not exaggerating as you can literally have your wipers off in a heavy rain when your doing about 50-60mph(even slower (say 30-40mph) it still works well, just not as perfectly) and see totally fine out your front windshield. which without Rain-X would be dangerous to do.) and it's made for your windshield unlike a car polish.
it will probably last in the ball park of 1-3 months or so (you can see it slowly wears off as the weeks/months pass as the beads are not as small and don't roll off the windshield as quickly). the more you use your wipers, the faster it will wear off but after a fresh application of Rain-X you generally don't need to use your wipers (if you do, a minimal amount will suffice because even when your going slow, without the air pressure on the windshield when you move, it still beads up and you can still see okay enough through it but having that delayed wiper that goes across the windshield occasionally will be enough in these cases as you would not need to run your wipers on low or high like you normally would without Rain-X).
p.s. but we have a little bottle with a pad on it (which can be refilled when it runs low as you use it) which makes applying it much easier than if you have to pour a little into say a rag and apply it that way. because with the thing we have, it just flows the liquid into the pad and onto the windshield as I just make circular motions and thoroughly polish it into the windshield, let it sit a little, then use some paper towels to wipe off the left over Rain-X stuff off your windshield and your golden. this is the stuff... www.walmart.com/ip/Rain-X-Original-Treatment-3-5-oz-800002242W/19487526 ; but the thing we apply it with I suspect is hard to find since we got it years ago but why they don't include that with the Rain-X is beyond me as it makes it much easier/quicker to properly apply it vs pouring a bit of that into say a sock and polishing it into your window that way. because it must be thorough for maximum effect as you can't just half ass polish it and be done as you can basically tell if you did a good job as the window will be smooth feeling, sort of like when you wax a car in how that feels before and after the wax. also, I noticed it's best to apply in warm whether vs cold as even the back of the package on that Wal-Mart site says apply temps above 40f+ but I would suggest about room temp or higher.
