Has some very vague memories of this one. I remember the visual effects were pretty good but not much else about it.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I love that movie. Fun, suspenseful, with cool invisible man visuals.

Because I haven't seen this one since it was first released, I also have vague recollections. But I too remember the special effects being quite good.

My favourite director making one of the best sci-fi novels I've ever read...I guess I expected too much. As a stand-alone film I quite enjoyed it, as an adaptation, a real let down.

I remembered watching this on tv years ago. I didn’t really think anything of it. I read somewhere that Carpenter was a last minute director or something and he originally wanted to do this as an independent movie and not a studio movie and it really showed. I read a few pages of the book so i’m not really sure how it stacks up against the book except that I heard the movie relied more on the comedy than the drama which isn’t that surprising cause Chevy Chase was the star.
This is one of those movies that could definitely benefit from a remake. With the Invisible man remake coming out next year who knows if a studio has already thought of doing a remake of this?

Mosty forgettable film. I remember the gag about him not being able to eat since he can't c his hands. Put on gloves dummy.
