This really is a GREAT Ending from "THE DARK KNIGHT RISES".
By the way, not that it is important but this video which I got off of YOUTUBE happens to have 67,000 likes and over 1000 dislikes. I think that it is obvious just by going with that where the majority stands when it comes to whether this was a good ending or not.

That is what I love about the ending. Anyone can see it any way they choose. The people that like the ending don't even like it for the same reasons. Maybe the movie does suck and I am lying to myself in order to be happy.  It is not my job to create the narrative. Even if it were there is not enough connective tissue to make sense of the ending. We have to write/rewrite the entire final act. That isn't the way I see it.

I don’t pick movies in the basis of popularity. Why was the ending so great? My hypothesis is people would didn’t want to see Batman die and Nolan obliges them in the worst way possible.
