I don't know why, it just seems I've seen bits and pieces of it, but can't remember watching the whole movie.

Well Johnny-Come-Lately even if you do watch the whole movie " Pretty in Pink " at least once through you can get the general storyline idea of it too . It's in the same storyline formula as these other 2 films and just as fun to watch . IMPO - It's well worth it and all of these films are so much fun to binge watch together also .

I actually watched Sixteen Candles a few hours ago on one of the HBO Channels - " Sammy Baker Davis Jr. ! " These films were just too much fun to forget indeed .

I remember the 1st time I watched Sixteen Candles. It must have been the last day before summer holidays in 7th grade. The teacher, must have been a huge fan, decided to show the movie. When the opening shower scene came on she almost jumped through 4 rows of desks to fast forward it.

Surprisingly I'm not familiar with " Cutter's Way " , " The Long Goodbye " , or " Cemetery Man " but thanks so much for the movie recommendations on these here now . Wayne's World was funny and of course remember " Magnum Force " with Clint Eastwood's - " famous last words " too .

I guess your teacher had her own " John Hughes Movie Moment Scene " there and totally forgot that movie scene altogether . Good memories - good times right ?

Of course. It was the last day of school. Also a great way to end the last day of school with an awesome movie and the teachers live comedy act all at the same time too .

Hitchcock’s “Vertigo” (1958) has the most devestating ending in film history. Hitch’s endings to “Psycho” (1960) and “The Birds” (1963) left audiences stunned.
Another dozen masterful final shots:
Sunset Blvd. / Billy Wilder (1950) Ace In The Hole / Billy Wilder (1951) D.O.A. / Rudolph Maté (1950) The Manchurian Candidate / John Frankenheimer (1962) Chinatown / Roman Polanski (1974) Five Easy Pieces / Bob Rafelson (1970) Omohide poro poro (Only Yesterday) / Isao Takahata (1991) The Straight Story / David Lynch (1999) Much Ado About Nothing / Kenneth Branaugh (1993) The Sixth Sense / M. Night Shamalyan (1999) Phoenix / Christian Petzold Predestination / Michael and Peter Spierig

Stand By Me... great summation, great song. Trainspotting... tremendous finale sequence, song, & summation.
The Terminator... epic action, calm, & coming storm, + epic score to close. The Dark Knight... peak of the series imo, still gives me chills. Halloween... bookend's the film with dare I say sophisticated effect; underscores the film's entire gravitas. ps I don't know how to use the spoiler tag, I wish there was greater effect when highlighted... thus I nulled any spoilers.
