Looks like I stand corrected. Back when Justice League was released, I made the claim that the general public was sick of Batman, and that his days of being a big IP were behind him. I frequently argued that the Matt Reeves Batman movie was bound to be a disappointment, and that WB might as well have given the character a long vacation.
Well, considering how great Joker is currently doing, it looks like I was wrong. People really haven’t lost interest in Batman. They simply had no interest in seeing a follow up to BvS.

Wow that really shot up. This is gonna outgross Justice League. I'm not surprised now given how much social and general media buzz the movie has gotten since release. Celebrities, big non-film youtube personalities and even mainstream sports outlets are all making reference to the Joker movie. Many of my friends who are very casual cinema goers have all seen it and have a solid opinion on it.

Hell, at this rate, Reeves' Batman may do just as well as Joker.

It looks like it’ll probably end up being the highest grossing R-rated movie of all time.

Hell, at this rate, Reeves' Batman may do just as well as Joker. I actually would not be surprised if it doesn’t even make as much as Joker. I do wonder how much it’d cost? If it’s a more noirish themed plot, that shouldn’t cost $200M. The cast is noteworthy sure, Pattinson especially, but how much would they be getting paid?

Robert Pattinson mostly does indie movies these days, so he probably won’t be getting paid an especially high amount of money.

Why do people care about box office money? Films are either good or not.

The cast is noteworthy sure, Pattinson especially, but how much would they be getting paid? I bet the budget gets in at $125-150 million. Like you said, I don’t think actor salaries will be too high. That is a very good thing to me.
