A Hard Day's Night 20. The Sadist 21. The Great Escape 22. The Haunting 23. House of Usher 24. 13 Ghosts 25. Bonnie and Clyde "Send Me No Flowers" is a cute movie. I like-to-love just about everything William "13 Ghosts" Castle turned out and four of his movies are on my list (nobody ever mentions "Let's Kill Uncle!" and "13 Frightened Girls" is one of the oddest movies ever made, two parts "The Brady Bunch", one part "The Facts of Life Go To Paris" and a bit of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" thrown in for good measure); "The Haunting" is based on the novel written by that spooky goddess and my number one favorite author, Shirley Jackson; "House of Usher" was good and atmospheric ("The Masque of the Red Death" was even better, IMO) and "The Sadist" is a nifty choice! I have never taken to "The Graduate" or "Bonnie and Clyde". To me, they are both only sightly better than ho-hum. "B&C", especially, was just lukewarm. A couple of brats fall in love. Big deal. I did not like either one of those characters at all. "The Graduate" I liked okay, with the late 60s southern California milieu and the Simon and Garfunkel soundtrack being my favorite things about it.

10)Le Samourai (1967) - 6-6.5/10
p.s. the only other movies I mildly like from the 1960's (i.e. my 6/10's)... On Her Majesty's Secret Service/Hang 'em High/Cool Hand Luke/Bonnie and Clyde/The Dirty Dozen/You Only Live Twice/Django/Thunderball/The Great Escape (it's been too long since I last seen The Great Escape as I need to get around to re-watching it just to make sure I still like it). so there are only 19 movies from the 1960's I give a Thumbs Up.
