I feel bad for people like DC-Fan, thenewnexus , and thenolan who think Scorsese is somehow praising other kinds of superhero movies like DC or anything FOX-Marvel or Sony-Marvel when he actually isn't and most likely feels just the same with every other kind of superhero movie. If he mentioned any other superhero movies that were not Marvel Studios they'd be upset. Scorsese could have made the comments in 2000, 2002, 2008, 2004, 2005, 2003. He made the comments now in the age of the MCU.
Chances are high he will be a lot kinder to the fox-marvel, sony-marvel or DC movies as they are less immature and are not childish disney crap like MCU.

I think he’s right, but I think Marvel and all of its fans already knew this. They’re not trying to make artistic masterpieces, they’re going for popcorn fun episodically...like comic books.

Those 'god awful' Guardians of the Galaxy movies are up there with Ben-Hur, 2001: A Space Odyssey, the LOTR trilogy and Seven Samurai and *inset hundreds of other titles* if compared to that piece of crap Spawn movie from 1997, which even its star Michael Jai White isn't fond of. Spawn does have that quality of it's so bad it's actually good though  The CGI is painfully bad its funny, especially when its set in hell and the unbelievable switch between practical and CG Violator.

The loop of the background characters in Hell too is about 1.5 secs. So you see 100's of the the same "characters" moving the exact same way on repeat.

If you've seen his interview with Collider Michael Jai White he says that the original cut of the film had way less effects shots and hell was mostly a darkly lit environment that relied on dialog to make it nightmarish beyond comprehension, the first cut was also more serious and less action heavy, but the director was given more creative freedom and took into a radically different direction - a lot of the time Jai White didn't even know what he heck was going on! XD

This is a bit misleading considering he didn’t specifically point out the MCU. He said superhero movies in general. He also didn’t say they were bad... just not his cup of tea. I mean the guy left as producer of Joker. Nobody seemed too outraged at him for that.

The movies having this is one of the reasons people like them. People actually want to see the interaction between the different personalities of the characters. Some of the best scenes are the characters conveying emotional, psychological experiences with each other.

No R rated film has ever earned $b for starters, Antman & The Wasp which is the lesser brand of the MCU right now made as much as the 5th most popular Rated R movie of all time, the highest only grossing barely $800m which is almost $200m lower than the MCU's "average" per film at this point.
Though a R rated MCU film could be the first $ib rated R film it's just a case of money though why bother risking the average nlowering? also they make as much on toys which they wont with a movie only aimed at adults..

If that ends up being PG-13 it may be consistent with all the others but it'd definitely piss people off after how the last movies were. Blade wouldn't work if it wasn't R.

Pretty much every MCU film named after a comic event pisses fans off for not being like the comics, and Marvel has continued to increase their annual intake from the movies year after year despite this.
I think they could always change their mind and make Blade into a Marvel Knights or something secondary label for more adult films similar to what DC wants to do with DC Black or Black Label or whatever, if they try to make a PG-13 Blade movie and it just doesn't work they can always just be like ok fuck it R rated and it's no longer in the MCU.
