No, you'd posted "De Niro and Pacino" in that order, so I ordered them how I'd enjoy seeing them cast, hence the "respectively" part of my post. But yeah, Hardy as the stoic, steely, efficient, hyper-effective career criminal and either McAvoy or Fassbender as the fraying-at-the-edges, temperamental, somewhat neurotic yet equally effective counterpart, the detective in pursuit, is a movie I'd pay to see.

Reunite Josh Brolin with Benicio del Toro. My appreciation for (both Joaquin Phoenix and) Josh Brolin went next-level after I saw Inherent Vice. This is my favorite scene of them together and possibly one of the greatest scenes in modern cinema:
