Finding out that Spider-Man 4 was cancelled and that the series would be rebooted with a whole new cast and crew Finding out there would only be a measly 13 episodes to wrap up Game of Thrones after season 6 Finding out that The Divergent Series: Ascendant was cancelled Finding out that Andrew Lincoln was leaving The Walking Dead Finding out that The Farce Remakens was a box office success, that people liked it, and that Disney got away with ruining one of the greatest franchises scot-free and that we let it happen Finding out that the Breaking Bad sequel would be a movie and not a series Finding out that Henry Cavill was cast as Geralt of Rivia

Battleship being made into an alien invasion movie.
James Cameron taking time to pen umpteen sequels to Avatar-and I actually like that movie.
The mere existence of Dark Phoenix.
Henry Cavill being ousted as Superman in the DCEU.

Finding out they were going to reboot Superman after SR.
It was made worse when I saw Man of Steel.
And then Batman v Superman.
And then Justice League.

I'm surprised no one's mentioned the female Ghostbusters yet.

The Hobbit was a 3 movie rush job.
I mean, talk about massive letdown. LOTR was & remains a masterpiece. How they f'd The Hobbit up is other worldly.

That instead of getting the long awaited conclusion to Guillermo del Toro's Hellboy trilogy, we instead were getting a reboot (which flopped).

I get annoyed at directors who keep releasing alternate versions of their classic films that were fine in the first place (Coppola with Apocalypse Now for example).

Finding out that Spider-Man 4 was cancelled and that the series would be rebooted with a whole new cast and crew Aren't you one of those guys who rushes out to see all the new MCU and Disney crap? I'm surprised that you like the Spider-Man trilogy. Strange.

Child’s Play getting a remake (thankfully the movie exceeded my expectations) That kind of annoyed me when I found out, mainly only because I was concerned that if they remade it, they would stop making the sequels to the original, which had started getting really good again with Curse and Cult. Do you know if they are still going ahead with those? Haven't seen the remake (didn't even know if was out yet actually). I look forward to checking it out though, as I was excited to find out Mark Hamill does the voice of Chucky.

How did they f up The Hobbit? Basically what happened was the studios interfered and didn't give Peter Jackson enough time to prepare for the production, therefore the quality is not as good as it could be. Also for some reason Howard Shore decided to mess up the score. But PJ still pulled off 3 pretty great movies. 8 - 8.5/10 or so compared to LOTR's 10/10. Pretty damn impressive considering. It could never have been as good as LOTR though, as the story is simply not as good.

Heck, The only DISNEY Movie that I will rush out to go and see is "STAR WARS" and that is it.
Also, I actually just like the First 2 Tobey Maguire "SPIDER-MAN" Movies and I think the 3rd is Way Too Long and Very Disappointing.
I was interested in seeing the 4th though when I heard about what Sam Raimi was planning to do with the Main Villains in it.
Apparently in Raimi's "SPIDER-MAN 4", The Main Villains were going to be The Vulture (played by John Malkovich) and his daughter The Vulturess (played by Anne Hathaway).

Jamie Foxx cast as Spawn is disappointing. Also the remake of Arthur with Russell Brand made me stabby when I heard about it.

-Louis C.K.'s show "Louie" getting canned. -James Gunn getting blackballed from stuff. This may be an unpopular opinion, but I couldn't care less if an artist is a creep in real life (unless its something with like murder or kids).
-When FX decided to move "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (one of, if not the best TV comedies of all time IMHO) to its sub-channel FXX. Why this show doesn't have a pile of awards is beyond my comprehension.
-Back when the "Willy Wonka" remake was announced.
I could actually lump the majority of announcements of remakes/reboots in here. I get that it's a guaranteed cash-in, but it has been taken to the extreme in the last ten years, and it's just boring.

Oooh, and another one that deserves its own post...
-Any time something is announced as the first of a trilogy...or 'it needs to be a trilogy.' Alright, so what if the first one sucks? None of the main characters are in danger as they have two more movies to go. It works for Tolkien (and I don't even really like the LOTR), but not everything needs to be announced as a trilogy.
Just look at Star Wars. The stand-alones ("Solo" and "Rogue One") were much more interesting to me than episode 7-8...because I didn't know what would happen to most of the characters!

It'll be aired next year. I liked the remake a lot actually. This Chucky is very different from the original though.

That Edgar Wright would no longer be directing Ant-Man.
That Patty Jenkins would no longer be directing Thor 2. Although, we got Wonder Woman from her so the outcome was fine.
Will Smith turning down Django in Django Unchained.
Clayne Crawford fired from the Lethal Weapon TV show. Not a great show by any means but he was worth watching in it.
Also agree about Spider-Man 4 being cancelled.
