But they were all "smitten" with Anna Bronski, not Anne Bancroft. If you're going to be specific about the link, then be specific. Romy should've gotten the same tip I got from you about the connection not being quite right or needing to be more specific. It's particularly frustrating because I've played in plenty of your games where you gave the point to someone where they were way more off the mark than I was with my answer and you just said "close enough". You accept misspelled actors names and alternate answers other than what you specifically planned for so many times out of concern that players will "quit in disgust", but I'm not given the same leeway and I've run up against this same issue with you so many, many times, and you never, ever seem concerned I'll quit in disgust. (sigh) another day on the job for the 'ol QM I wish you had actually read what I took the time to express there, instead of blowing it off right away. I played I don't know how many games against mcavanaugh where he would, seconds before me, post two thirds of an answer, and you'd always accept it, so I accepted you had your favorites, and spoiling him like that, in the context of these matches, certainly did not work out well.

Believe me -- Mick was NEVER my favorite ! And my time was kinda taken up with something called the Bonus Round -- which three players were waiting for.

Believe me -- Mick was NEVER my favorite ! Believe me, he'd post 2/3s of an answer and I'd post the entire, correct answer within seconds after having worked the puzzle and checked and double checked mine, and you'd always give it to him. When I finally brought up the disparity in standards I got e-screamed at, something about how he had hand discomfort or something. The link I made in my To Be or Not to Be answer before you made a tip disliking it which led to Romy's guess was just as good as saying they were connected by "Anne Bancroft", and just as good as spelling Sam Elliott "Sam Elliot".

Matt - It's fine with me if you want to award the point to dianachristensen . I don't want any points that I didn't win legitimately. 'tis okay...

Consider this me quitting in disgust. haven't we been down this garden path before? don't let the DDC door hit you on the way out. No, we haven't. Consider yourself Blocked for your rudeness and hostile wishes in the face of my indefatigable effort to communicate calmly, clearly and considerately. postscript: FYI, two of your long-term regulars who were playing today's game PMed me to let me know that they agreed with me that, among other things, if my connection wasn't accepted, the "Anne Bancroft" instead of "Anna Bronski" answer should not have been accepted either. Anger kills.

gee -- I wonder who those two whistleblowers are? _______________________________________________
let's see if I have this straight:
1) if a player posts 'Dorothy McGuire' as 'Dorothy Maguire' -- then I should declare it to be a wrong answer.
2) if a player considers their answer better than the Quizmaster's, then I should accept that one instead.
OK, I think I get it.
I'm sure that the next trivia contest you haunt will be happy to go along with your demands.
