DVDs for guilty pleasures & still for Disney - I've read poor things about classic Disney losing some of its aged 'magic' on blu. Yeah, like I said in my previous post... Older movies are not looking so good on today's high resolution high tech equimpent. Wirework can be seen for example. Somehow the older tech, hid much of that. Either it was a smaller picture, or it was blurred out. The only blus I've really double dipped on have been LOTR, Star Wars IV, Harry Potter, & the likes of a Jaws & Die Hard. I used to get frustrated that I missed the boat on blus with my Disney, 007, & some others on dvd... guess not.

I've started buying Bluray when I can, but a lot of stuff still isn't available on Blu. Also I buy a lot of titles outside my region and while I have a multi-region DVD player, I don't have a multi-region Blu player.

DVDs, because I can buy older classics and newer movies in this format. I also believe that blu-ray came too soon after DVDs. Also, if you play a dvd on a blu-ray player, the picture improves enough in quality to suit me just fine.

I only buy DVD now if it's not available on blu ray. I also recently started buying 4K ULTRA HD movie packs, but have yet to upgrade to a 4K TV lol.
