It's a real bore. It does rip off The King of Comedy and Taxi Driver, but it isn't nearly as good or interesting. I'm not surprised because the director has never made a good movie. The concept is brilliant, but the execution failed to live up to it's potential. Joaquin is good as expected. I am glad it's doing big box office and making idiots I hate cry, though.

How can you turn it off in the theater? Or are you watching a bootleg copy?

How can you turn it off in the theater? Or are you watching a bootleg copy? My first thought when I saw the thread. What a quick dvd release!

I like the movie quite a bit. It is inspired by The King of Comedy and Taxi Driver, but manages to be it's own thing at the same time and is very well made. Though it is the fact that it does follow those 2 movies a bit too closely that holds it back from being great.

How can you turn it off in the theater? Or are you watching a bootleg copy? He is obviously watching a bootleg version. I don't have a problem with that besides the fact that he is watching a crappy quality version, which means he didn't have much interest in the first place. He watches movies he knows he is going to dislike on bootleg just so he can come here and tell everyone he turned them off half way through due to them being bad movies. Not sure why he thinks anyone cares.

He is obviously watching a bootleg version. I just hope the FBI isn't looking at this thread. I just mentally turned off to the movie and left the theater.

He is obviously watching a bootleg version. I just hope the FBI isn't looking at this thread. Yeah, the FBI is mostly interested in the sites that are putting them out there. I have never heard of anyone actually being charged or fined for illegally streaming or downloading movies for personal use. I believe the studio has to actually show interest in taking legal action before the FBI would get involved, but with so many people doing it it would be a massive waste of time. This is why they focus on the sites themselves, but every time a site like that gets shut down it just pops up again in a matter of weeks.

The feds have better things to do, at least I hope so, than going on some movie fan site and trying to nab someone for watching a bootleg.

If you stream a movie illegally that isn't technically reproduction or distribution for the individual viewer. It only is for the people who upload the moves onto those sites. It is likely illegal to stream movies in the way I am referring to, but this is not something described in the above FBI warning. Then again, the FBI warning above was created before streaming or downloading movies was even possible. I know many people who have downloaded countless movies for years and nothing has happened. Here is something that might happen though and a warning to people who download movies. Your internet provider might shut off your internet permanently if they catch you.

BFD! It's a victimless "crime." Not like anyone in the movie industry is gonna starve to death over some harmless copies. "Damn! I would have another 5 dollars for that Ferrari if that kid in Boise hadn't watched my movie without paying for it!" First World Problems.
