This from Wiki's page on the 1931 movie: "Thinking that it is not fit for society and will wreak havoc at any chance, they leave the monster locked up, where Fritz antagonizes it with a torch. As Henry and Waldman consider the monster's fate, they hear a shriek from the dungeon. Frankenstein and Waldman find the monster has strangled Fritz. The monster lunges at the two but they escape, locking the monster inside." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankenstein_(1931_film)Perhaps you're thinking of another adaptation. :-)

No, I was speaking of the 1931 film. The setting is actually an abandoned windmill which, I think, would probably not have a dungeon. But like I say, I don't mean to split hairs. Thanks for the link.

@ llanwydd...Here's another link...to the movie itself. It's not set in a windmill and it definitely features a dungeon. Check it out. :-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=aKoPr-Q7QSk--------------------- @ members... It would seem that "13 Historical movies which feature mediaevil jousting" was a bad choice. The four movies already listed seems to be the limit, and the topic certainly won't reach the Baker's Dozen, so I'll put up a different topic. 13 Movies featuring Henry VIII of England (name actors): 01. Yes I'll concede that the dialogue mentions the windmill, but there's no exterior shot of it (at least not on that youtube video) and it's the strangest windmill interior that I've ever seen, and I've been around three of them in my travels. The 'room' in which the monster is kept is at the bottom of a flight of stone steps, it's bricked, has a huge door with iron bars and it certainly looks like a dungeon to me. Oh well, perhaps its previous owner had a mother-in-law he didn't like. -------------- 13 Movies featuring Henry VIII of England (name actors): 01.
