And an infamous tragic accident involving it
The F-104 Starfighter to it's immediate rear right got too close, and collided with the bomber. The F-104 was destroyed, killing the pilot. The Valkyrie limped on until the crew were unable to keep it stable and it began to roll uncontrollably.
As seen in the pic below, the F-104 is in flames, and you can see the damage done to the Valkyrie.
